DUAL SCHEDULE OPTION MODULE

for 4HD Wire Feeder

INSTALLATION

TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL ELECTRIC SHOCK, BE SURE CONTROL CABLE IS DISCONNECTED

FROM POWER SOURCE OR INTERFACE BOX BEFORE WORKING INSIDE THE WIRE FEEDER.

Make sure control cable is removed from the power source or interface box.

Remove the outer cover from the wire feeder.

Remove the plastic hole plugs from the three holes in the front of the wire feeder and the remote

receptacle hole in the rear of the wire feeder.

Install the dual schedule module into the front of the wire feeder and secure with the two potentiometer

nuts and one switch nut provided with the option module. Refer to Figure 1 for installed position.

Install the potentiometer knobs onto the shafts of the potentiometers and secure with the Allen wrench

provided with the option module. Make sure the knobs are properly centered by rotating to minimum

and maximum positions and readjust if necessary.

Route the wire harness to the rear of the wire feeder and mount the receptacle with the self-tapping

screws provided.

Remove the connector from P4 and the speed control board (PCB1) and connect it to P2 of the dual

schedule board.

Install the interconnecting cable supplied with the option module between P1 of the dual schedule

board and P4 of the speed control board.

Reinstall the outer cover of the wire feeder and reconnect control cable.

Place the switch on the dual schedule module in the schedule"A" position and set the schedule "A" wire

feed and voltage controls for the desired welding condition.

Place the dual schedule switch in the schedule "B" position and set the schedule "B" wire feed and

voltage controls for the desired welding condition.

Select the desired welding schedule and commence welding.

SETUP

NOTE

Remote schedule select and remote pendant controls are available for use with the dual sched-

ule module only. If either of these options are to be used, the switch on the wire feeder must be

placed in the schedule "B" position. The remote control pendant allows selection of schedule "A"

or "B" on the front panel of the feeder or a third schedule labeled "C" on the pendant.
