1. Make sure control cable is removed from the Power Source or Interface Box.

2. Remove the blank panel from the upper left corner of the front panel of the wire feeder. If removing panel from a

2cv or 2cvcc, cut the wire tie which holds the wire harness to the back of the blank plate. Retain the four mounting

screws.

3. If installing kit in the 4HD, remove the outer cover of the wire feeder.

4. Check the setting of the dip switches on the digital meter board. These switches can be set up for meter to read

in inches per minute (IPM) or in meters per minute (MPM) as shown below. The meter is factory set in IPM

positions.

NOTE: If dip switch does not have sections #3 and 4, set sections #1 and 2 as shown.

5. If installing meter kit to 4HD, connect the interconnecting cable supplied with the kit to P1 of the meter board and

P3 of the speed control board (PCB1) in the 4HD.

If installing meter kit to the 2cv or 2cvcc unit, the interconnecting cable may be discarded. Simply connect the

wiring harness that was attached to the blank plate to P1 of the meter board.

6. Mount the digital meter over the opening where the blank panel was removed using the four mounting screws

retained from step 2. On the 4HD reinstall the outer cover of the wire feeder. Reconnect control cable.

OPERATION

Set the switch on the digital meter to the desired mode of operation. If the IPM mode was selected, the meter will read

the PRE-SET wire speed (on the 4HD and 2cv units only) when not feeding wire and the ACTUAL wire speed when

feeding wire. If the VOLTS mode is selected, the meter will only read the ACTUAL voltage.

INSTALLATION

TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL ELECTRIC SHOCK, BE SURE CONTROL CABLE IS

DISCONNECTED FROM POWER SOURCE OR INTERFACE BOX BEFORE WORK-

ING INSIDE THE WIRE FEEDER.

Be sure this information reaches the operator.
