e wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH (E)
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured mark-
ings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
e wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter “E” by the earth symbol
or coloured GREEN/YELLOW.
e wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter “N”
or coloured BLACK.
e wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter “L
or coloured RED
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is xed into the plug through the Cord Guard or Cable Clamp,
(plug wiring diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp the Cord (outer sheath
and inner coloured wires) into position in the plug. Make sure that plug top is also tted securely.

to replace the fuse, use only a 13Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse (13A).

To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron or base in water or other
liquids.
e iron should always be turned to “min” before plugging or unplugging from the mains outlet.
Never pull the cord to disconnect from the mains: instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces.
Allow the iron and base to cool completely before storing
Always disconnect the iron from the electrical socket when lling with water or emptying and
when not in use.
Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged.

FILLING THE WATER RESEVIOUR
Before lling ensure that the unit has fully cooled and the plug is removed from the wall socket
When cool remove the reseviour safety cap and empty any water that is been le in the reseviour
en place the funnel in the opening to the reseviour.
Measure 0.5 litres (500cc) of water into the appropriate container this then poured into the rese-
viour and the safety cap is replaced and secured .

water this may cause lime scale

USING YOUR STEAM GENERATOR
Aer lling the steam station. Ensure it is placed on a at level surface that is stable.
plug the power cord into unobstructed wall socket then switch on at the wall
set the temperature dial on the iron to the correct temperature for the fabric that is to be ironed
(as shown in the table above) then switch on the steam generator and the iron from the switches
on the base.
When the correct temperature is reached for the fabric the light on the iron may cycle on and o
this is normal and shows that the thermostat is operating normally
Ensure all switches are in the o position when you are nished with the appliance.

FABRIC CARE
It is important to get the temperature right when ironing as some fabrics are easily damaged. but
there is a number of steps that can be taken to avoid damaging the fabrics you are ironing
1. Check the label on the fabric item to nd out the correct temperature for the fabric that you
are ironing and check it against the above chart.
2. Test the temperature is right. is is done on a area where it cannot be seen and this will avoid
damaging your favourite shirt or skirt.
3. Gradually build the temperature to a level where the fabric is free from creases but has not
been damaged
4. Use a clean cloth on the top of the article that you wish to iron
5. Use the steam function however please take care as some fabrics that contain wool and other
similar materials may take on a shine aer
6..Where the fabric is made up with a mix of materials use the lowest temperature of the fabric
mix
CLEANING, STORING AND MAINTENANCE
!Caution!
Before attempting maintenance cleaning or relling of the reseviour ensure that the appliance
has been switched o and disconnected from the power supply and has been allowed to cool
completely.
We would recommend when the product is not going to be used for long periods that any water
is emptied from the reseviour and that the reseviour is rinsed to remove any lime scale build up
We do not recommend the use of harsh or abrasive chemicals to clean the enclosure use a so
damp cloth and a little detergent for stubourn marks
We would reccomend that the product is stored in its original packaging in a cool dry
enviroment
