BATTERY SAFETY

2. LED for iPhone, iPod, iPad/Vol - LED to show device is in iPhone/iPad/iPod mode. Press to decrease
volume.
3. Standby/Mode. Press to turn the tower on and off. Press and hold for two seconds to switch between
iPod/iPhone/iPad mode, and Aux modes.
4. LED for Aux/BT/Vol + Green LED to indicate device is in AUX mode, Blue LED indicates Bluetooth mode.
Press to increase volume.

USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
THE BATTERY
To get your remote control working intially, pull the clear tab
from the battery compartment located at the bottom of the
remote.
Ifyourremotebecomesintermittentoryoundyouhaveto
move closer the unit to operate, then probably batteries need
to be replaced.
To replace batteries, slide the holder out from the base of the
remote. Remove the battery and replace with a 3 volt Lithium
CR2025.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE EQUIPMENT FROM THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE CLEANING.
2. CLEAN THE EQUIPMENT WITH A SOFT, DAMP, LINT FREE CLOTH.
3. DO NOT USE ABRASIVES OR HARSH CLEANERS.
SETUP
1. Take out the tower body and tower base carefully from the box.
2. Take out the 7 screws.
3. Align the four holes on the body and base.
4. Screw the base into the body by using a screw driver.
5.Placethetowersoit’sstandingontheoor.
6. If the iPad is to be docked, please insert the detachable dock adaptor to hold the iPad.
POWER
Insert plug into 220-240V mains power. Toggle switch on the back of unit to the “ON” position. Turn on mains
power.
DOCKING AN IPHONE /IPOD /IPAD
1. Press the Power button to turn the unit on.
2. Connect the iPhone/iPod /iPad to the connector inside the dock for iPhone / iPod /iPad .When the
unit is plugged in it will simultaneously charge the docked iPhone/iPad/iPod.
3. Note:IfyouwishtodockaniPad,pleaseinsertthedetachableholdertoholdtheunitrst.This
will provide adequate support so the iPad does not fall or damage the pin connector.
PLAYING AN IPHONE/ IPOD /IPAD
1. Follow the instructions for docking an iPhone/ iPod /iPad.
2. Press the Standby /Mode button. The device will default to iPhone/ iPod /iPad mode.
VIDEO OUTPUT FROM AN IPHONE/IPOD /IPAD
1. Connect the unit to a television using the Composite video output (cable not included)
2. On your iPod/iPhone/ iPad, navigate to VIDEOS > VIDEO SETTINGS and turn TV OUT to “On”.
3. Follow the instruction for Docking an iPhone / iPod / iPad on this page.
4. Dock the iPod/iPhone/iPad onto this unit and begin playing a video
AUX-IN (AUXILIARY INPUT RCA TYPE)
Requires a 3.5mm RCA cable (included)
1. Connect an RCA cable to AUX jack. Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the audio output on
an MP3 player, or other audio device
2. Press the power button to turn the unit on.
3. Press the Standby /Mode button. The device will default to iPhone/ iPod /iPad mode.
4. There are two ways in which to change to AUX mode: (i) press and hold the Mode button on the
unit for 5 seconds. The green AUX LED will light up indicating it is now ready for playback.(ii)
press AUX button on the remote. The green AUX LED will light up indicating it is now ready for
playback.
5. Use the native controls on the connected device to begin playing audio routed through the unit.

• USB port does not support any media feature.
• USB power output DC5v 2.1A.
• USB port design for all Apple media player & smartphone battery charger only.
USING BLUETOOTH
1. Power unit on, press Mode button repeatedly to adjust to the Bluetooth mode, the blue bluetooth
LEDlightwillash,theunitwillsearchthepreviouslypaireddevice,andifthepreviouslypaired
device is On, it will connect automatically with the unit.
2. If the previously paired device is not on, then the unit could be paired by another device.
3. The name and password is “‘AKAI A58001” and “0000” respectively. Input password if necessary
during pairing.
4. Once the device is paired with the unit, desired music can be played using the external (paired)
device via Bluetooth through the unit and the Blue LED light will be on.
5. If it still doesn’t work, please re-start the unit or turn off the Bluetooth of paired cellphone, and
follow above steps again.
