ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Class 1 Conguration
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
GREEN/YELLOW: EARTH (E)
BLUE: NEUTRAL (N)
BROWN: LIVE (L)
Class1Conguration
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with
the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW (or coloured GREEN) must be connected
to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter “E” or by the earth symbol .
The wire which is coloured BLUE (or coloured BLACK) must be connected to the NEUTRAL
terminal which is marked with the letter “N”.
The wire which is coloured BROWN (or coloured RED) must be connected to the LIVE
terminal which is marked with the letter “L”.
Always ensure that the Mains Cord is xed into the plug through the Cord Guard or Cable
Clamp, (plug wiring diagram above), and that the Cord Guard screws are tightened to clamp
the cord (outer sheath and inner coloured wires) into position in the plug. Make sure that
the plug top is also tted securely.
This appliance must be protected by a 13 Amp fuse in a 13 Amp type (BS1363) plug. Should
you need to replace the fuse, use only a 13Amp ASTA approved BS1362 fuse (13A).
OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES
It is important to ensure the correct Plug Adaptor is used when operating in a country not
usingthe UK 13 Amp socket system. If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
Read all instructions and retain the instruction manual in a safe place.
Do not touch hot surfaces always use the handles and knobs
Do not immerse cord, plug or base unit in water or other liquids.
Close supervision is recommended when the appliance is used near children.
Switch off at the wall socket and then unplug this should be done when not in use or before
cleaning
Before cleaning. Always allow to cool fully before you start to clean.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions
or has been damaged.
The use of accessory or attachments is not recommended
Do not use outdoors or in wet/damp environments.
Do not let power cord hang over edge of table, counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place on or near sources of heat.
Always ll the percolator rst, then set the appliance onto the power base, and plug percolator
power base, into wall socket and switch on.
Do not operate when the water is below the minimum level.
Do not use appliance for other than intended for domestic use only.
Do not remove the cover is during the brewing cycle as steam is very hot and may scald.
Make sure the cover is secure before serving.
Warning! No user serviceable parts are inside; repairs should carried out by qualied
electrical personnel.
The use of accessory and /or attachments is not recommended by the appliance manufacturer.

1. Before using for the rst time, thoroughly
was all parts of the percolator (see cleaning
and maintenance instructions section below.)
2.Remove cover, basket, lid and pump tube with
spring. Using the measurement markings
(located inside the body) ll the percolator
with the desired amount of water. For best
results be sure to use cold water when lling
the percolator. When preparing 4 cups, use
the tow spot weld marking just below 6
as the 4 cups level mark.
3.To help keep small coffee grinds from sifting through the holes in the basket, run cold
water over the coffee basket. Place basket on top of pump tube.Add desired amount
of coffee according to level markings on basket. Be certain to use a grind designed for
percolator coffee, or use a coarse grind. Finer grinds any sift through the holes in the
basket. The following chart serves as a guide for preparing various brew strengths.
Amounts can be varied to suit personal taste and particular coffees.
4.Place basket and pump tube assembly into
percolator so bottom of tube ts into well.
Place basket cover on top of basket and push cover
onto top of percolator. Caution: When placing the
lid onto the percolator. Be sure that the steam
outlets are always from the handle to avoid heat.
5.Place percolator on power base and pug base into
standard household 240V AC wall socket and
switch on.. The green power on indicator light
will illuminate.
Brewing begins within seconds and continues
at a rate of approximately once cup per minute.
6.Once brewing cycle is complete, the red indicator light will illuminate up signal your coffee
is ready. Warning: ensure the percolating process has stopped completely before removing
cover.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always remove the percolator from the power base then switch off at the wall socket and
remove the plug from the wall socket before attempting to clean the percolator. Remove the
percolator body from the power base. Make sure that unit is sitting evenly on a at surface.
Grasp cover by percolator knob and gently pull cover straight up. It is recommended that the
appliance is stored with cover off.
Gently pull the basket, basket cover and the pump tube straight up out of the body. Take the lid
off the basket and discard used coffee grinds. The percolator cover, basket, lid and pump tube
(with spring) can all be placed into upper rack of a dishwasher or washed in warm soapy water
and rinsed thoroughly. Never immerse percolator body or power base in water or wash these
items in a dishwasher.
To clean, the percolator body and base simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry before
storing.
Do not use scouring agents or harsh cleaners on any part of the percolator. Note Washer at
bottom of pump tube must move freely. Should coffee grounds become trapped near washer,
loosen with a tooth pick, and then run under tap water to clean.
Storage: The power supply cord is attached to the power base. For a clutter free counter,
unwrap only as much of the cord as needed to safely reach the outlet. Remaining cord can stay
wrapped underneath.
