Sonnet Crescendo/WS G4 Owner's manual

Important Information—Read Me First!

You must insert the included CD-ROM into your computer, and run the

installer application BEFORE you install the upgrade hardware!

If you do not run the installer application before installing the upgrade hardware,

your computer will not operate.

To ensure a successful installation, read and carefully follow every step in the

enclosed Quick Start Guide.

/WS G4 Processor Upgrade Card Users

Do you have Mac OS X installed on your PowerBook? If so, you must

download and run Sonnet X Tune-Up to enable your Crescendo/WS G4-

upgraded PowerBook to switch between startup disks.

This software is free. Point your web browser to

www.sonnettech.com/downloads/osx_upgrade_sw.html#tuneup, and then

download the file and run the application.

Sonnet X Tune-Up installs a special control panel that enables you to switch

beween Mac OS 9.x and Mac OS X on your PowerBook; without this special control

panel, switching between operating systems will not be possible. Please note, you must

run Sonnet X Tune-Up under Mac OS 9.1.x or OS 9.2.x.
