Mitsubishi Electric M315088C06 Owner's manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the Owner's Manual for the Touch Pad. This document covers the general operation, including how to activate, lock, and unlock the device, as well as manual override procedures. I am familiar with the compatibility features like use with gloves, ice, rain, and dirt, and I'm ready to assist you with any questions you may have.
  • What is the initial power-up delay for the touch pad?
How do I unlock the system using quick guide?
How do I disable the capacitive touch pad override?
How do I enable the capacitive touch pad override?
Is the touch pad compatible with gloves?

of the canopy.
The Capacitive Touch Pad is used to control and simplify entry to the rear of the canopy.
Disclaimer
The Lumen Touch Pad must not be altered in any way.
During change of environmental conditions such as rain, the Lumen Capactive Touch Pad
will re-calibrate it's touch sensitivity and may not operate for 2 seconds during this time.

Canopy Unlatch via Activation Zone:
The Capacitive Touch Pad monitors the base program vehicle lock /unlock status. If the
base program vehicle is unlocked & the rear canopy door closed the touch pad will
become “Active”.
If the Activation Zone is pressed while the Touch Pad is active for approximately 1 second
using your thumb or two index fingers the Capacitive Touch Pad will cycle the rear canopy
door actuator to release the door latches, allowing access.

Quick Guide
The Touch Pad will ignore any button press where any part of the finger or thumb is also
touching outside the activation zone.
We recommend using your thumb or two fingers to press the as the
will ignore any button press < than 14mm in diameter
The constantly re-calibrates & adjusts its capacitive sensitivity to suit changing
environmental conditions (Rain, Ice, Dust & Dirt) during this recalibration the
may become inactive.
If the user repeatedly presses or holds the within a short period of time, the
will consider the presses as being part of the environmental conditions and re-
calibrate to de-sensitize the . If this happens remove your hand from the
for 2-5 and the will return to its original calibration.
On initial installation and/or power up the requires 10 seconds to perform
recalibration.

Compatibility:
Gloves: The Capacitive Touch Pad has been successful tested to detect touches on the
activation zone when the user is wearing commonly used gloves of varying materials,
however performance with all gloves cannot be guaranteed. If the does not
seem to respond whilst wearing certain gloves please remove them before next use.
Ice & Snow: The has been successfully tested to detected touches
on the activation zone when under a light cover of ice. However thick ice build up or snow
may reduce the sensitivity. If this reduced sensitivity is affecting performance the user
should remove the ice or snow build up before next use.
Rain & Wet: The has been successfully to be tested to detect
touches on the activation zone in light rain conditions. However heavy rain may reduce the
sensitivity of the or activate the environmental control feature . If this reduced
sensitivity is affecting performance the user should shelter the during use.
Dirt: The has been successfully tested to work with a light cover of
dirt & dust. However thick dirt or mud may reduce the sensitivity. If this reduced sensitivity
is affecting performance the user should remove the mud or dirt before next use.
Cold & Heat: The has been successfully tested to operate in
extreme temperatures conditions -40°C to +105°C.
Immunity: The has been configured to ignore un-intended triggers
when exposed to the following conditions: Carwash, Direct Hose, Dripping Water, Wind,
Dust etc. however the immunity of the cannot be guaranteed in all user cases.
If the user wants to ensure the remains inactive in all conditions then
the user may lock the base program vehicle &/or deactivate the Capacitive by
following the “disable function” instruction in this booklet.
