Welcome to your new ACN VoIP Service
Your new ACN VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) Service simply means that your new phone service is provided via a special
adaptor (called an Analogue Telephone Adaptor or ATA) which uses your broadband Internet service to make and receive
phone calls.
This User Guide details the steps required to set up and start using your new ACN VoIP service by installing the ACN VoIP
equipment we have sent you.
Items You Need:
A working broadband (Internet) service
Access to one spare LAN port on your
broadband modem/router
Access to a power point near your
modem/router, to power the ATA
An analogue, or DECT (Digital Cordless)
home phone to connect to the ATA
Your ACN VoIP Pack contains the following items:
Power pack & cable
Analogue Telephone
Adaptor (ATA)
Ethernet cable
Your modem/router, should have
a cable already plugged into the
Internet/WAN Port (this is the cable
that supplies your Internet). You may
also have a cable plugged into the rst
Ethernet/LAN Port (if you have your
PC or laptop plugged into the device
directly - not on Wi-Fi)
Important Note:
Before attempting the setup of your new ACN VoIP Service you must ensure that you have a working broadband
(Internet) service and that ACN has completed the conguration of your new VoIP Service. ACN will conrm your
new ACN VoIP Service is ready by sending you an “ACN VoIP Phone Service is now active” message to the email
address you provided with your order.
Attempting the setup of your ACN VoIP service prior to receiving this email will fail. This is because the process of
allocating you a new telephone number, or porting an existing number (where requested) will not be complete.

Troubleshooting Guide
1. Check that your modem/router is turned on - there should be visible lights on the front of the device.
2. Check that your modem/router has a working broadband connection by accessing an Internet site or web page. Your ACN
VoIP Service will not set up successfully if it cannot access the Internet.
3. Check that you have followed the steps in this installation guide, in the correct order, and that the power supply to the ATA
has been turned on.
4. Check that your home phone has power and is connected correctly to the ATA.
If after checking the above, the service still does not work, please try the following:
1. Turn o the power to your ATA and unplug the Power Pack from the wall socket for 30 seconds.
2. Plug the Power Pack back into the wall socket and turn on the power for your ATA. Allow a further 5 to 10 minutes for the ATA
to re-attempt its download and registration process before attempting to use the service.
3. Conrm that the service is working by making a call from the phone connected to the ATA.
If your ATA continues not to have all 4 LED lights GREEN or you are unable to make a phone call, please contact ACN Customer
Service for support on 1300 881 778 between 8am and 8pm (AEST/AEDT) Monday to Sunday.
When contacting ACN Customer Service, please be ready to answer the following questions:
A. What lights, if any, are working on the ATA?
B. Can you make an outgoing call? If not, what happens?
C. Can you call your phone number from a mobile or other phone? If not, what happens?
