Welcome to ACN Mobile Broadband. This guide details the simple steps to install your
ACN go! modem and connect to the Internet - youll be up and running in no time!

Installation

Insert the SIM Card
Caution: The SIM card must not be inserted in, or
removed from the modem whilst it is connected to
a PC.
Remove the card socket from the modem.
Insert the SIM card into the socket with the golden
contact facing upward, as shown in Figure 1.
Flip the card socket and insert in the modem with
the SIM card facing down, as shown in Figure 2.

Connecting the modem to a PC
You should start up your PC before connecting your
modem for installation.
Your modem comes with two USB cables. Insert the
small connector of the 2-port (long) data cable into
the modem (After installation, you may use either
cable).
Insert the large connectors into two of the PCs USB
ports as pictured.
Once a successful connection has been established,
the network mode indicator on the modem will
flash blue.
The system will automatically detect the new hardware and display on the
status area of the desktop. This also indicates that the connection between the
modem and the PC is successful.

Install Wireless Broadband Setup Wizard
The installation program will start automatically and the Wireless Broadband
Setup Wizard dialogue box will appear on-screen.
If the auto-run program does not respond, go to My PC and double click on the
drive labelled Wireless BB.
Install the program according to the prompts on the screen, as illustrated in the
screenshots below.
Note: Do not plug or unplug the modem during the installation process.
After successful installation, a shortcut icon will appear on the desktop:

Connecting to the internet
Double-click the Wireless Broadband shortcut icon on the desktop to
start the Modem Manager. A Wireless Broadband dialog box will appear.
If the system prompts you to enter a PIN, please enter the digits 0000.
Click
to connect to the network.
Click the connect button, next to the Profile Name field, as illustrated below:
When the connection is created, the current connection information will
be displayed at the bottom of the window, including signal strength, data
connection established, and data upload and download volumes.
Note: For detailed connection information, click the Statistics icon
This will open a new window that displays transfer time, upload/download
speed and amount of data, and daily, monthly and yearly upload and download
data amounts.
Open your Internet browser. You should now be able to browse the web.
Disconnecting and removing the modem
To disconnect, click the Wireless Broadband icon on your toolbar or desktop.
Then click the Disconnect button next to the Profile Name field.
Double-click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Status Bar
on your desktop.
Stop the hardware "HUAWEI Mass Storage USB Device."
At the prompt, remove the modem from your PC.

STEP1
Insert the enclosed CD-ROM “E220 USB Modem Driver for MAC OS.
STEP2
Follow the prompts to install the software before connecting the USB Modem.
STEP3
Connect the USB Modem to your computer and open the Applications folder.
STEP4
Double-click the green Wireless Broadband icon. A new window will appear.
STEP5
Click the Connect button to connect to the Internet.

Troubleshooting
If the modem fails to connect when using the short USB cable, this may be
because the USB port on the PC is providing insufficient power. In this case,
try using the long cable which utilises two connectors to draw additional
current from the PC.
