AsaminimumtheWirelesshubandWirelesshandsetaccessories
arerequiredtocreateawirelesshandsetstation.Additionallya
WirelessspeakercanbeconnectedtoeachWirelesshandset.
AfterconnectingyourWirelesshubtoyourVHFRadio,theprocess
forsettingupawirelesshandsetstationshouldbe:
1.FullychargetheWirelesshandset.
2.ConnecttheWirelesshandsettotheWirelesshub.
3.Ifrequired,connectaWirelessspeakertotheWireless
handset.

2.Drillthemountingholesusingasuitablesizedrillbit.
3.Ifrequired,usea6.5mm(0.26in)drillbittodrillaholeforthe
holster’spowercable.
4.Holdtheholsterinplaceandsecureusingthescrewsprovided.
5.PlacetheHandsetintotheholster,ensuringitclicksinto
position.

Connectingawirelesshandsettothehub
WirelesshandsetsmustbeconnectedtotheradioviaaWireless
hub.
WhentheWirelesshandsetispoweredonforthefirsttimeyou
willneedtoconnectittoaWirelesshub.
1.SelectWirelesshub.
Thehandsetwilldisplayalistofwirelessdevicesinrange.
2.SelectyourWirelesshubfromthelist.
The Wireless hub’s default name is ‘RM’ followed by the 6 digit
part number and 7 digit serial number of the radio that the
Wireless hub is connected to (e.g.: Radio part number: E70625
and serial number: 1070828 = Hub name: RM E70625 107828).
3.Enterthepassword.
Y ou can check the Wireless hub’s password using a Wired
handset by selecting: Menu > Set - up > Wireless set - up >
Wireless hub set - up > Password .
ThehandsetwillnowconnecttotheWirelesshub.
4.SelectOK.
Changingyourwirelesshub'spassword
IfdesiredyoucanchangetheWirelesshub’sdefaultpassword
usingaWiredhandset.
1.SelectWirelesshubset-upfromtheWirelessset-upmenu:
(Menu>Set-up>Wirelessset-up>Wirelesshubset-up).
2.SelectPassword.
3.UsetheChannelUp,ChannelDownandOKbuttonsto
changethedefaultpassword.
The password can use up to 8 characters. For the most
secure password use a variety of upper and lower case letters,
numbers and symbols.
4.Whenfinished,selectOKtoconfirm.
5.Re-connectyourWirelesshandsettothehubfollowingthe
Connectingawirelesshandsettothehubprocedure.
Note:
WhilethepasswordchangeisbeingappliedtheWireless
set-upmenuwillbeunavailable.
EnsureyoumakeanoteofyourHub’snewpassword.
Changingthehub'swirelesschannel
Ifyouexperienceinterferencewithyourwirelesshandsetstation
thenyoucanchangethewirelesschannelusedbythehubtoa
channelthatislesscongestedwithWirelesssignals.
Y oumustuseaWiredhandsettochangetheHub’swireless
credentials.
1.SelectWirelesshubset-upfromtheWirelessset-upmenu:
(Menu>Set-up>Wirelessset-up>Wirelesshubset-up).
2.SelectWirelesschannel.
3.Selectawirelesschannel.
Channels 1 to 13 are available, use a wireless network analyzer
to find the least congested channel. The preferred wireless
channels are 1, 6 and 11 as these overlap with the fewest other
wireless channels, however if these channels are congested
then try others.
Note:
WhilethechannelchangeisbeingappliedtheWireless
set-upmenuwillbeunavailable.
Y ourWirelesshandsetwillautomaticallyreconnecttothe
hubusingthenewchannel.

Y oucanconnectaWirelessspeakertoyourWirelesshandset.
1.PowerontheWirelessspeaker.
2.PressthePairingbuttononthefrontofyourWirelessspeaker
topairwithaWirelesshandsetforthefirsttime.
3.UsingtheWirelesshandset,selectWirelessspeakerfromthe
Wirelessset-upmenu:Menu>Maintenance>Wirelessset-up
Thehandsetwillsearchforavailabledevices.

TheWirelesshandsetwillnowpairwiththeWirelessspeaker.
5.SelectOK.
TheWirelesshandset’saudiowillnowbeheardthroughthe

handset.
Ifthepairingisunsuccessful,powerthewirelessspeakeroff
andthenbackonagainandrepeattheprocess.
DisconnectingaWirelessspeaker
TodisconnectyourWirelessspeakerfromtheWirelesshandset
followthestepsbelow:

1.PressthePairingbuttononthefrontofthespeaker.
2.Oncedisconnectedthespeakercanbeconnectedtoany
WirelesshandsetbyfollowingtheConnectingawireless
speakertothewirelesshandsetprocedure.

Wheninsertedintothewirelesshandsetchargingholsterthe
wirelesshandsetwillbechargedusinginductivecharging.
