7.2.1 J67 – Supply source
The jumper J67 determines the power source of the eval board. Pins 1 – 2 short selects the LiIon battery, pins 3 – 4 short
selects the single cell battery. When single cell is selected the boost converter must be activated with J59
7.2.2 J59 – Boost converter activation
Jumper J59 activates the boost converter which is used to generate BVDD (3.6V) out of a single cell battery. Pin 1 – 2 short
activates the boost converter, pins 2 – 3 short deactivates the boost converter for a LiIon battery.
7.2.3 J58 – Backlight booster mode
The backlight booster supports current controlled mode for white LED backlight and voltage controlled mode for OLED displays.
Pins 1 – 2 short voltage mode is selected (there are two modes which are determined by J63 and J60), pins 2 – 3 short current
mode is selected.
7.2.4 J60, J63 – Voltage controlled mode
When the backlight booster is set to voltage controlled mode via J58, the exact mode is set by J60 and J63. When J60 is set,
the the feedback is controlled by a reference zener diode, the output voltage is the value of D11 plus 0.8V. Setting J63 selects
the feedback via a resistor divider. The output voltage is 0.8 x (1+ R36/R40). The selected output voltage must not be set to
more than 15V.
7.2.5 J32 – Power LED enable
When this jumper is set, the power LED is on, when the board is powered. When the jumper is open, the power LED is disabled,
this can be necessary when doing runtime measurements, because the LED draws about 5mA.
7.2.6 J55, J56, J57 – FVDD supply
These jumpers determine the power supply of FVDD, which is the supply of the ADC/DAC digital circuitry. The FVDD can be
sourced via BVDD (J55 set), CVDD1 (J57 set) or CVDD2 (J56 set).
7.2.7 J61 – LDO supply
The LDO’s have a separate supply pin. This pin can be switched to CVDD2 (pins 1, 2 short) or BVDD (pins 2, 3 short).
7.2.8 J43 – RTC supply
The RTC can be supplied direct through BVDD (pins 2, 3 short) or via a backup capacitor (pins 1, 2 short). Note that the backup
capacitor is not mounted by default.
7.2.9 J15, J16, J17, J18 – Boot sequence
The setting of these jumpers determine the sequencing and voltage of the power supplies (BVDD, CVDD1, CVDD2, PVDD1).
J15 set: BVDD @ 3.6V PVDD1 @ 3.0V CVDD2 @ 1.8V CVDD1 @ 1.2V
J16 set: BVDD @ 3.6V CVDD1 @ 1.2V CVDD2 @ 1.8V PVDD1 @ 3.0V
J17 set: BVDD @ 3.6V CVDD2 @ 3.0V PVDD1 @ 1.8V CVDD1 @ 1.2V
J18 set: BVDD @ 3.6V CVDD1 @ 1.2V PVDD1 @ 1.8V CVDD2 @ 2.8V
All open: BVDD @ 3.6V CVDD2 @ 3.0V CVDD1 @ 1.2V
7.2.10 J13, J23, J24 – Headphone power supply
The supply of the headphone amplifier is set with the jumpers J13 (BVDD), J23 (AVDD) or J24 (CVDD2)
7.2.11 J35, J71 – Microphone select
The on board microphone can be enabled when these jumpers are set.
