Wi-Fi Calling
Wi-Fi Calling can improve your coverage,
and lets you have conversations and send
messages over your Wi-Fi network (when
Wi-Fi network is available).
To stay on a Wi-Fi call, remain in range of the
Wi-Fi network. Your call will drop as you leave
the Wi-Fi range. You will get an audible beep
and a message on your phone letting you
know when a call will drop as you leave the
Wi-Fi range.
Your phone offers three connection options.
See Change connection preferences section
in this guide for more information on how to
change connection options on your phone.
n
Wi-Fi Preferred: With this option,
all calls will go through Wi-Fi when
connected to a Wi-Fi network. Calls will
drop as you leave the Wi-Fi range.
n
Cellular Preferred: With this
option, you can make calls over
the cellular network, and Wi-Fi
Calling can be used as a back up if
cellular network is not available.
n
Wi-Fi Only: With this option, calls can
be made when connected to a Wi-Fi
network. If there is no Wi-Fi network,
then your calls will not connect.
Note: Wi-Fi Calling minutes count the same as
cellular calling minutes on your phone bill.
