INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: Read all instructions before beginning installation
A) Vertical window guard
B) 4" One-way screws (8)
C) Lag bolts (2)
D) Phillips-head screws (6)
E) Hex bolt & nut (1)
F) Lock bullets (2)
G) Hinges (2)
H) Cables w/ lock body (2)
I) Cable stand off clamp (1)
J) Pedal

Drill and 3/16" and 7/16" drill bits
One-way driver (not included)

Tools Required:
Insert hinges and lock bullets

Insert hinges (G) and lock bullets (F) into horizontal bars of
window guard (A).
Center window guard over window

Center window guard (A) over window and check for level.
Position hinges (G) so holes are centered on window trim.
Mark and pre-drill for bullets

IMPORTANT: To insure proper
release operation alignment
between lock body and lock
bullet MUST be accurate.
Prepare interior wall holes

Using a 7/16" drill bit, and angling the drill,
round off the bottom of the hole on the
inside of the house.

Center lock bullets (F) on 2x4 and mark.
Fasten cables (H) to cable
stand-off clamp (I). CAUTION:
Do NOT pinch cables.
Feed cables through holes at top
of pedal (J) and under clamp.
bolt (C) through the
bolt (E)

Hold cables (H) next to cable stand-
off clamp (I) and mark with le. Mark
cable shields approx. 1/4" below
stand-off.
Install lock bodies and cable
5Align stand-off with lock body

Align stand-off on interior wall with lock body that is on the
outer wall and with the cable that have been fed through the
wall. Using a 3/16" drill bit pre-drill both holes.
Install covers
7Fasten cables

Cut cable shield
only. Be careful
not to damage
cable. Use le to
cut shield coil.
Remove excess
shield.
Test release mechanism

Test the release mechanism
several times to insure proper
operation.
The guard should spring free of
opening upon actuation and close
easily.
Do NOT slam guard to close.
Install lock bodies (I) on bullets and feed cables through wall.
Close guard, inserting post on back side of lock body (I) into
7/16" hole.
With window guard (A) and lock
body (I) in place, pre-drill holes with
3/16" drill bit.
Secure lock bodies (I)
with one-way screws (A).
Do NOT kink cables (I).
Mount cable stand-off clamp (C).
