1 Introduction

About DD-M101 Desk Docking

Congratulations on purchasing Winmate® DD-M101 Desk Docking. The

Winmate® DD-M101 Desk Docking device supports the Winmate M101 series

tablet computer. The DD-M101 enables you to connect your tablet computer to

external devices and expand the functionality of the tablet.

Carefully remove the box and unpack your device. Please check if all the

items listed below are inside your package. If any of these items are missing

or damaged contact us immediately.

2 Software Installation

This section describes how to install the DD-M101 Desk Docking software on

M101-series tablet computer.

1. Before connecting tablet to DD-M101 Desk Docking, install drivers using

provided CD.

NOTE:

The desk docking driver is not pre-installed on the tablet.

2. Choose the OS you need and open the folder.

3. Select Drivers and then double click the Setup.exe to launch the

installation.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete. Restart

the tablet computer when prompted.

NOTE:

For a detail installation guide, please refer to the CD that is

included with the package.

3 Hardware Installation

Setting up the Desk Docking

WARNING!

Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow

the safety instructions that shipped with your tablet.

Before You Dock the First Time

Before connecting your tablet to the DD-M101 Desk Dock, please ensure the

following:

1. Ensure that the tablet computer is docked to the DD-M101.

2. Turn on the tablet.

3. Verify that your tablet operating system has completed the setup process.

4. Verify that your tablet battery is installed before docking your tablet.

Docking Your Tablet

1. First, use screwdriver to loosen three screws on the docking.

2. Place the tablet holding plate on the desk docking, and then fasten the

screws.

3. Put the tablet on the docking, and make sure the device is secure

mounted on the holding plate. Make sure the tablet is aligned with the

desk docking.

Connecting to AC Power

WARNING!

To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to your equipment:

 Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) outlet that is

easily accessible at all times.

 Disconnect power from the equipment by unplugging the power

cord from the electrical outlet.

 Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding

plug is an important safety feature.

The desk docking’s input/output expansion functions only work if power is

connected.

CAUTION

Always use the AC adapter that came with the tablet computer (the

desk docking does not come with a separate power adapter).

To ensure the correct performance of all docking station features, connect the

docking station to an AC power source using the docking station power cord.

1. Connect one end of the power cord to the AC adapter, and connect the

other end of the power cord to an electrical outlet.

2. Connect the AC adapter to the power-in connector on the docking station.

Connecting to DC Power (Optional)

Notice that terminal block connector is an optional feature and may not be

present in your DD-M101.

Connect open wire cable (not supplied by Winmate) to 9-36V DC.

Using the Desk Dock with External Monitors

In mirror mode, you can easily operate touch screen.

Note: Due to Intel® Graphic driver limitation, M101B series

tablet with Windows 10® CBB OS does not support mirror

mode option.

Extend

Mode

(Default)

It is recommended operating the tablet with a keyboard or

mouse in extend mode. If you require touch function, please

use the mirror mode.

Note: Display settings are saved automatically for use next time.

Undocking Your Tablet

Disconnect all peripherals and AC power from the docking.

1. Pull the tablet from the tablet holding plate.

2. Lift the tablet up from the desk docking.
