The Genaray SP-AD120SB is a dedicated 31.5-inch

softbox for the SpectroLED 14 Flood Light. The octagonal

shape is perfect for rounded catchlights. A removable

interior bafﬂe and a diffuser are included to control the

level of diffusion for soft and even wraparound lighting

that’s perfect for portraits and video interviews.

This softbox is made for use only with the Genaray SP-AD120 SpectroLED 14 Flood Light.

Do not use this softbox with hot lights such as quartz, tungsten, or HMI bulbs.

ASSEMBLY

INSTRUCTIONS

To attach the softbox to the

SpectroLED 14 Flood Light, follow these

instructions carefully. Be patient—this

setup can take several minutes.

1. Lay the fabric shell on a table or ﬂat

surface, with the touch ﬂaps open

and the silver interior facing up.

2. Place the light in the center of the

softbox so the light is pointing up.

3. Slide a ﬂex rod through a sleeve along

the inner seam of the softbox.

4. Insert the end of the ﬂex rod into

a hole at the base of the light.

5. Bend the ﬂex rod until its tip ﬁts into

the pocket at the edge of the sofbox.

6. Insert the second ﬂex rod through

the sleeve and into the hole opposite

the ﬁrst rod. Then bend it until the

tip of the rod is in the pocket.

7. Attach the next two rods at 90 degrees

from the ﬁrst two rods. Once installed,

the softbox will start to take shape.

8. Attach the remaining rods by inserting

them through the sleeves and ﬁtting

the tips into the end pockets. Then turn

the ﬁxture over so the black exterior

is facing up. Firmly bend the rods

until they ﬁt into the corresponding

holes at the base of the ﬁxture.

9. Once all of the ﬂex rods have been

attached to the ﬂoodlight, close the

touch ﬂaps that will prevent light

from spilling out of the ﬁxture.

10. If you’re using the interior bafﬂe, attach

it to the interior of the softbox by clipping

it to the elastic loops on each seam.

11. Attach the front diffuser by ﬁtting

the black edge over the softbox.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

This Genaray product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and

workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date

or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. Genaray’s responsibility with respect

to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at Genaray’s discretion, of

any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended

environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by Genaray. If the product

has been discontinued, Genaray reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and

function.

This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse,

improper installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, GENARAY MAKES NEITHER

ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This

warranty provides you with speciﬁc legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from

state to state.

To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Genaray Customer Service Department to obtain a return

merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Genaray along with

the RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own

risk and expense.
