Fujitsu Siemens Computers Carrying Case none is designed to provide a compact, elegant solution for using and transporting your Fujitsu LifeBook convertible notebook. The convertible case is designed so that you can use your system either in notebook configuration or in tablet configuration. The case has a protective cover, pen holder, wrap-around zipper, shoulder strap, and D-rings. The convertible bump case is made of rugged materials and is designed to withstand daily use.

To open the case, unzip the wraparound zipper (Figure 2)
and lift the cover. Open the case so that it lies flat.
Notebook Configuration
To use your system in notebook configuration (Figure 3):
1. Unzip the case and lay the system into the case base.
2. Open your computer so that the display is in notebook
configuration (perpendicular to the keyboard).
Prior to installing the notebook into the bump
case, remove the pen. Once the system is
installed, you will not be able to remove the
pen. Store the pen in the pen holder. (Figure 2)

Tablet Configuration
To use your notebook in tablet configuration:
1. Unzip the case and lay the system into the case base
2. Open your computer so that the display is in notebook
configuration (perpendicular to the keyboard).
3. Fold the top of the case down so the display can rotate
without interference. Rotate the screen and put the
system into tablet configuration. (Figures 4a-4c)
4. Close the case cover and zip up the wraparound zipper.
5. Undo the Velcro® flap securing the protective cover and
flip the cover over the back of the case.
6. Tuck the cover under the handstrap on the back of the
case while in use. There is a small piece of Velcro under
the handstrap to secure the cover when it is open.

Shoulder Strap
There are D-rings on two corners of the case. To attach the
shoulder strap, open the spring-loaded clips on the end of
the strap, and attach them to the D-rings. The D-rings can
also be used as an attachment point for a pen tether. (Figure
1 shows the location of the D-rings, with the shoulder strap
attached.)
Caring for the Case
The convertible bump case is made of rugged materials, and
is designed to withstand daily use. Treat the case as you
would a quality briefcase or purse.
Occasionally, the case may become soiled. To clean it, brush
it with a short-bristled brush. If necessary, use a clean cloth
and warm soapy water to wash the soiled area. Do not
submerge the case in water, as it may become warped.
