HORTON SUPERSCAN RELAY HARNESS
The Horton SuperScan Relay Harness (20.5286) allows the use of SuperScan sensors mounted on the swing side to cause the door
to slow into “open- check” speed.
Advantages of the harness:
• use of any BEA lockout
• eliminates the need of adding a door-position switch to inhibit the swing-side SuperScan
• greatly reduces the overall time it takes to install the SuperScan

lockout module user’s guide for proper Bodyguard and lockout wiring.
PRIOR TO ANY WIRING, SHUT OFF ALL POWER GOING TO THE DOOR HEADER
1. Plug harness into control.
2. Plug operator into harness.
3. Route SuperScan end of harness to door-mounted SuperScans, and wire as normal to SuperScans.
CAUTION: IF APPROACH-SIDE SUPERSCANS ARE NOT BEING USED, INDIVIDUALLY CAP ALL REMAINING
UNUSED WIRES TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE OR INJURY.
4. At control-end of harness, wire red and black to 24V transformer and wire green to control Activation wire,
and white to control Common.
5. Adjust SuperScans as needed. Walk-test to ensure compliance with ANSI 156.10.
6. Continue to install the Bodyguard using the Lockout (LO-21, LO-21B, LO-21U, LO-21P, LO-21S or MC-15) of
your choice.
REFERENCE THE APPLICABLE SUPERSCAN USER’S GUIDE TO ENSURE CORRECT JUMPER CONFIGURATIONS.
