Instructions for use
Getting started
To connect the two speakers together
1. Insert the 4 pin XLR cable into the 4 pin XLR port (14) and tighten the connection
2. Insert the other side of the cable into the same port on the slave speaker and tighten the connection
To connect the speaker to power
1. Insert the gure 8 cable into the Mains power port (13)
2. Insert the UK plug into a plug socket
3. To turn the speakers on, ick the On / O switch (12) to ‘On’ and the Parallax will enter standby mode,
and the Bluetooth LED (4) will be solid red
Using the remote
Please ensure the remote is pointing directly to the remote sensor (K) and nothing is blocking it.
Controls
Mute Short press Mute (C)
Change volume Short press Increase / Decrease volume (3/I)
Change bass Short press Bass (G), or press Mode (2) and then Increase / Decrease Volume (3).
The Bass LED will be solid green
Change treble Short press Treble (H), or press Mode (2) and then Increase / Decrease Volume (3).
The Treble LED will be solid green
Default settings Short press Reset (D)
Bass and treble controls
To change the bass and treble on the top panel of the speaker:
1. Short press Mode (2) once and the Bass LED (7) will be solid green
2. Short press Mode (2) twice and the Treble LED (8) will be solid green
3. Short press Increase / Decrease volume (3) to increase / decrease the bass / treble
Your Parallax speakers are now in standby mode and are ready to use.
Standby mode
To turn on from standby mode, short press Power (1/A) and the Bluetooth LED (4) will ash red and then enter the last mode
it was in. To return to standby mode, short press power (A) on the remote or long press Power (1) for ve seconds until the
Bluetooth LED (4) is solid red.
Connecting through Bluetooth
1. When Parallax speakers are on, the Bluetooth LED (4) will ash blue, automatically entering pairing mode
2. Turn your device’s Bluetooth ON and search for new devices
3. Select ‘KS Parallax’. If asked for a passcode, enter ‘0000’, and they will be paired
4. Once paired the Bluetooth LED indicator (4) will be solid blue
Note: The Parallax will automatically connect to the last paired device.

Connecting through NFC
If your device is NFC enabled, when the Parallax is in pairing mode, hover your device over the NFC hotspot (9)
and this will connect.

Re-pairing or pairing new devices
1. Turn Bluetooth o on any previously paired devices
2. Follow the instructions above
OR
Press and hold Pairing (2) or short press Pair (B) until the Bluetooth LED indicator starts ashing blue again.
Playing music through Bluetooth
When connected via Bluetooth, play the music on your device and the sound will play through the speakers.
Some devices may require you to select the audio output.
If your device is A2DP Bluetooth-enabled, you can use the following functions:
Play / Pause Short press (F)
Next / Previous track Short press (E)
Connecting through auxiliary
1. Short press Input (1/J) until the Aux LED (5) is solid green
2. Insert the 3.5 mm aux cable into the RCA port (10) and into your device
Note: In this mode, Play/Pause, Previous/Next track will not work.
Connecting through optical
Please ensure the audio output on the device you are using (TB, Blu-ray, etc) is set to output over an optical connection.
1. Short press Input (1/J) until the Optical LED (6) is solid green
2. Insert one end of the optical cable into the Optical port (11) and the other into your TV
Note: In this mode, Play/Pause, Previous/Next track will not work.
Please note
Your device will have an internal amplier and if it is playing digital les like MP3s it will also have an integrated DAC (Digital Audio
Converter). If you turn the volume up to 100%, your device will be sending a distorted signal. To avoid this, and to get the best
quality from the speaker, we recommend that you do not run your device any higher than 95% volume. Some devices output
higher than others, so you may need to reduce the volume if you experience distortion.
Care for your Parallax
Please DON’T:
Get the Parallax wet
Drop the Parallax as this will invalidate your warranty
Open up the Parallax. There are no user serviceable parts inside
Expose the Parallax to extreme temperatures or rapid changes of hot to cold or vice versa
Please DO:
Clean the Parallax with a soft dry cloth and no detergents

Recycling
Your product and batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly.
Products showing the ‘Crossed Through’ wheelie bin symbol must be recycled separately from household waste at the end of
their useful life. Please DO NOT dispose of this appliance in normal household waste. Your local appliance retailer may operate
a ‘take-back’ scheme when you are ready to purchase a replacement product, alternatively contact your local government
authority for further help and advice on where to take your appliance for recycling.

or defects in materials only. No warranty whatsoever is given or implied for damage caused by the user under any circumstances.
This does not aect your statutory rights.
Please do not attempt to open this product. There are no user serviceable parts inside, in particular if your product has an embedded,
non-replaceable battery, do not attempt to access or remove the battery as this may cause personal injury and will damage the product.
Making any attempt to open the product or carry out repair voids any and all warranties.
