SAFETY WARNINGS
For connection, use the specified power supply (24 V AC).
To prevent the risk of electrical shock, do not attempt to disassemble the camera and do not remove screws
or cover panels.
There are no user-replaceable parts inside the product. In the event of a fault or malfunctioning, please
contact your nearest service centre as soon as possible.
Avoid using the product improperly or subjecting it to shocks, vibrations and excessive pressure that could
damage it.
Do not use corrosive detergents to clean the camera body. If necessary, use a soft, dry cloth and, if it is
particularly dirty, a mild detergent. All normal furniture cleaning products can be used.
Do not point the camera at extremely bright objects or sources of direct light (e.g. the sun) because you run

INTRODUCTION
Description
This high-speed SPEED DOME is a front-end device to capture video. Its digital rotation technology enables mo-
nitoring in one direction with no blind spots. The IP66 enclosure, the built-in automatic thermostatic device and
the class 3 protection against lightning and overvoltage make this unit suitable for even the most demanding
environments. When using the DVR, you can perform intelligent traceing and 3D positioning. In addition, the
OSD menu clearly displays the camera functions and is easy to use.
Features

• RS422 support
• PELCO D, PELCO P protocol support
• Address setup via hardware and software
Internal camera
• Automatic/manual focus
• Automatic/manual white balance; automatic exposure
• Automatic day/night switching (low light)
Internal PTZ
• The advanced drive system with stepper motor allows the DOME to rotate smoothly, position itself with preci-
sion and react quickly.
• The adoption of the synchronous belt drive ensures less noise and greater image stability during operation.
• 360° pan, 90° tilt and continuous rotation for monitoring without blind spots.
• Default pan/tilt speed up to 240°/s.
• Manual pan/tilt speed from 0.5°~ 90°/s.
• Accurate, high-speed presets can be selected.
• The ZAP function is useful for adjusting the speed based on the change of the focal length, for an image that
is always sharp.
Other
• Built-in heater and fan, for installation in even the harshest environments.
• Waterproof IP66 structure in line with international standards.
• Built-in components against atmospheric discharges, to protect the DOME against lightning and overvoltage.

If you want to change these values, turn o the camera and open the cover to access the microswitches. The
procedure is as follows:
(1) SW2 is used to set the DOME address. Switches 1 to 8 are equivalent, respectively, to bits 0 to 7. The
“ON” status of each switch is 1, while “OFF” is 0.
The ID address is encoded as binary: 2n-1 where “n” corresponds to the number of the switch in SW2. For
example, if switch 1 is set to “ON” while the others are set to “OFF”, the address is 21-1=1. If switch 2 is set to
“ON” while the others are set to “OFF”, the address is 22-1=2 and so on.
Refer to the table below.
SWITCH 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
DOME ID 1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128
• For example: if you want to set the address of the DOME to “73” and 73 = 1 + 8 + 64, this means that
switches 1, 4 and 7 should be set to “ON”.
Configuring microswitches
Before installing the camera, you need to check the address, communication protocol and baud rate. The
DOME’s default address, protocol and baud rate are 1, PELCO-D and 2400 respectively.
• For example: if you want to set the address of the DOME to “5” and 5 = 1 + 4, this means that switches 1
and 3 should be set to “ON”.
N.B. set the microswitches correctly according to the binary system (they are not listed individually in this
document).
Page 5 - Manual FA00177- EN - ver. 1 - 11/2015 - © Came S.p.A - The contents of this manual are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
(2) Switches 6, 7 and 8 in SW1 are used to set the communication protocol. When these three switches are
set to “0”, the protocol is PELCO-D while, when one of them is set to “1”, the protocol is PELCO-P.
(3) Microswitches 3, 4 and 5 in SW1 are used to set the baud rate.
SW1 BAUD RATE
3 4 5 1200
0 0 0 2400
1 0 0 4800
0 1 0 9600
1 1 0 9600
0 0 1 9600
1 0 1 9600
0 1 1 9600
1 1 1 9600
(4) The camera may malfunction if the switches are not fully set. Before you complete the setup, double
check.
N.B. the change takes eect after rebooting the camera. You can change the protocol through the software
menu.
