We are craftspeople. We are musicians. We are KitSound
And we all commit ourselves to achieving one shared goal:
Bringing people closer to their music. By truly understanding
music we stay true to its craft. Pure, rich, incredible sound.
We’ll settle for nothing less.
At KS we believe your music deserves to be showcased on great
quality products that don’t cost the earth. We might not all share
the same taste in music (the ferocious disputes on music forums
prove that), but whether it’s Irish folk, death metal or any number
of obscure genres which seem to be multiplying by the minute, the
artists responsible for connecting with you through their craft have
bared their souls to do so. And we think that’s worth celebrating.

Instructions for use
Charging the battery
The Storm Gaming Headphones have a built-in rechargeable lithium
battery. Make sure the Storm is switched off. Connect one end of the
micro USB charge cable to the micro USB charge port (9) on the Storm
and connect the other end to your PC or USB mains adaptor. The battery
will start charging.
It takes up to 6 hours to fully charge the battery
Whilst charging, the LED charge indicator (8) will be solid red
When fully charged, the LED charge indicator (8) will turn off
Getting started
Firstly, you will need to connect the transmitter box to your console:
1. Connect the micro USB cable to the micro USB power port (C) on
the transmitter and the other end to a USB port on your console
2. Connect the optical cable to the optical input (B) on the transmitter
and the other end to the optical output on your console
3. Turn on the console and you should see the LED connection
indicator (A) ashing red and yellow
Then you will need to pair the headphones to the transmitter:
4. Turn the headphones on by pressing and holding the power button (2)
for 2 seconds
5. The LED indicator (6) will ash yellow
6. Press and hold the pairing button (3) for 6 seconds and the LED
indicator (6) will rapidly ash yellow
7. When the LED connection indicator on the transmitter (A) and
on the headphones (6) turn solid yellow, they are then connected
To turn the headphones off when nished, press and hold the power
button (2) for 4 seconds. The transmitter will automatically turn off
when the console is powered down.
You will only need to pair the headphones to the transmitter box once.
When you next turn the headphones on, they will automatically connect
to the transmitter.

Setting up the headphones
You will need to change the settings on your console to enable the
headphones to work correctly. The exact method will vary per console
(please refer to your console instruction manual if unsure), however you
will need to do the following:
1. Go to the audio settings menu and set the ‘audio output’ to optical
2. Set the audio format to Linear PCM/Stereo, ensuring Dolby Digital/
DTS is disabled
3. The sound should then play through the headphones
You may nd you will also need to setup the microphone to ensure it is working
correctly. It should work by default once you have set the output, but if not
please refer to your console instruction manual. If the console lists the
name of the headphones, they will appear as ‘2.4G Wireless headset’.
Note: For the microphone to work with an Xbox 360, you will need
to connect the 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm cable between the 3.5 mm Xbox
controller port (7) on the headphones and the 2.5 mm socket on
the Xbox 360 controller.
Note: For the microphone to work with an Xbox One, you will need a
Stereo Headset Adaptor (not included). The Stereo Headset Adaptor
connects to the Xbox One controller, allowing you to connect the 3.5 mm
to 2.5 mm cable between the Xbox controller port (7) on the headphones
and the 2.5 mm socket on the Stereo Headset Adaptor. Alternatively,
if you have a Kinect (not included), you can use the microphone built
into the Kinect. If using the Kinect microphone, you would only need
to follow the ‘Getting Started’ section to connect the headphones to
the Xbox One. The headphone microphone will not work if using the
Kinect microphone.
Using the headphones
1. Follow the ‘Getting started’ and ‘Setting up the headphones’ instructions
2. Insert the microphone into the microphone socket (1) if required
3. Use the game volume dial (4) to adjust the main volume
4. Use the chat volume dial (5) to adjust voice chat only
5. Press (don’t hold) the mic mute button (3) to mute the microphone
Note: Volume can only be controlled using the controls on the headphones.

Connecting the headphones to a PC
You can use the headphones and microphone with a PC. To do this:
1. Connect the transmitter to the PC using the micro USB cable
2. Drivers will automatically install on the PC
3. Turn the headphones on and if they need pairing to the transmitter,
follow the pairing instructions in thegetting started’ section
4. The headphones and microphone should then be working with the PC
5. Volume is controlled on both the PC and the headphones
Note: If sound is not playing through the headphones after the drivers
are installed, you may need to set the audio output on the PC:
1. Right click on the volume icon in the bottom right corner and click
‘Playback devices’
2. ‘2.4G Wireless headset’ should be in the list
3. Right click ‘2.4G Wireless headset’ and click ‘set as default device’
4. Sound should then play through the headphones
5. You may need to do the same as 1 – 3 in ‘Recording devices’ for
the microphone
