Fanpack 2800
This document, applies only for AKD2800, and has been provided
to ensure you an easy and quick commissioning of the Fanpack.
However, we recommend you the reading of the safety regulations
part of the operating instructions.

A. Control panel The control panel is located in front of the frequency converter. The settings are changed via the
control keys.
B. Control keys
The QUICK MENU & + keys must be pressed at the same time to give access to all parameters .
Keys + & – are used to selecting parameters and for changing parameter value.
CHANGE DATA is used for changing a setting. The key is also used for confi rming a change of para-
meter settings.
- Power on the frequency converter, open START input on terminal 18 and press simultaneously on the
keys QUICK MENU & +.
- Fill in, in the same order, the settings below :
Para-
meter
Value
Example for 2 motors of 0,55A and pressure of 10 Bar
Value
100 1 Process closed loop (To use internal PI-controller) 1
101 2 VT High (To use “variable torque for fans) 2
105 ll in here the sum of the fans current 1.1
201 0 Hz Freq. low limit 0
202 50 Hz Freq. high limit 50
204 0 Bar Ref. min. (corresponding to range of transmitter) 0
205 25 Bar Ref. max. (corresponding to range of transmitter) 25
207 3 s Ramp up 3
208 3 s Ramp down 3
305 0 No. op. 0
308 0 No. op. 0
314 2 Feedback (signal on terminal 60) 2
315 4 mA Minumum output from transmitter 4
415 25 FB max (same as par 205) 25
437 1 Inverse (Increased pressure = higher speed) 1
440 2 Gain 2
441 2 s Time 2
002 1 Remote=0. Local=1 (local = internal reference, par
003)
1
003 ex. 10 Bar Pressure reference in bar 10
019 0 Power up action = Auto Restart (from SW ver.1.4x)
In parameter 003 set your desired condenser pressure directly in bar
When “local” is selected in par. 002 the connection between terminal 12 and 18 is not needed for giving
a start signal. The unit is simply started by pressing the start key on the keypad.

If the control reacts too fast or to slow, you can act progressively on parameters 440 & 441 ( PID) on the
following way :
Parameter 440 : Increase the value by step of 0,5 to increase the reaction.
(Prop.Gain) Decrease the value by step of 0,5 to decrease the reaction.
Parameter 441 : modify the value by step of +/- 1 (s) to improve the control stability.
(integration time)
Most of the time, theses changes won’t be necessary !
If you want to set-up a fan minimum frequency, modify, following the order,
parameters 201 & 439 giving them this frequency as value.
Example : 10 Hz
Screened cables must be used and screen must be connected on the earthing as well on
frequency converter side than on the motor(s) side!
Its always possible to restore factory setting by following this procedure :
Disconnect main voltage,
hold the QUICK MENU & + & CHANGE DATA keys down while simultaneously reconnecting the main
voltage.
Display shows 88888888 shortly, wait 5s then release the keys.
The frequency converter has now been programmed for the factory setting.
If additional LC fi lter is used, parameter 412 should be set on “LC fi lter connected”
Using a LCP2 display (175N0131) make commissioning faster and easier. It can save and copy set-
tings, showing pressure signal directly in Bar.
Parameters to be implemented : 010 = 19 Analog input 60
011 = 3 Feedback
012 = 2 Reference
A serial cable DB9-DB9 M/F is necessary.

slow

Warning 33” can be shown. It is simply an indication that the Drive is running at min or max speed
and it should be ignored.
