Manual CP-508 versie 2.5 September 17th 1993 pg. 3
disarming.
2.2 Control Panel section arming
If a PIN-code is authorized to choose sections for arming or disarming, then the arming procedure can
be executed as follows: enter the PIN-code, press the key for the section to be armed (key 1, 2, 3 or F,
H, P). One of the LED's 1 to 3 will be turned on, depending on the selected section. Press the <#>-
key. The section will be armed and the horizontal dash will be turned on. In this way, only 1 section
can be armed at the same time. If 2 sections are to be armed, then this procedure should be repeated.
2.3 Control Panel HOME arming
If the control panel is enabled to use the HOME-arming mode, then the control panel will be turned to
HOME-arming by entering the PIN-code and pressing the <8>-key (HOME). The HOME-sections
(programmed by the installer) will be turned on and the LED AWAY will start flashing. The control
panel can be totally secured by entering the PIN-code and pressing <#> (see 2.1). If the control panel
was armed completely, then it can be set back to the HOME-arming mode by previously described
procedure. The non-HOME sections (programmed by the installer) will be disarmed.
2.4 Control Panel arming/disarming by key-switch
By activating the key-switch the corresponding section will be armed or disarmed.
2.5 Control Panel disarming completely
Enter PIN-code. Press <*>-key. All sections, where the entered PIN-code is authorized for, will be
disarmed.
2.6 Control Panel section disarming
If a PIN-code is authorized to choose sections for arming or disarming, then the disarming procedure
can be executed as follows: enter the PIN-code, press the key for the section to be armed (key 1, 2, 3
or F, H, P). One of the LED's 1 to 3 will be turned on, depending on the selected section. Press the
<*>-key. The section will be disarmed and the horizontal dash will be turned off. In this way, only 1
section can be disarmed at the same time. If 2 sections are to be disarmed, then this procedure should
be repeated.
2.7 Control Panel refuses to arm
When arming one or more sections, all instant and 24-hour zones have to be closed (corresponding
LED's have to be turned off), if not, then the ordered arming will not be executed.
- If, at the moment of arming, an
instant
zone is open, then the display will show 'bP' alternated with
the number of the open zone. The keyboard generates an attention signal. The open zone can be
bypassed (isolated) by pressing the <8>-key. Are more zones open, then the next zone number will
appear on the display. Are all instant zones closed, then the ordered arming will be executed but the
bypassed zones will stay disarmed. If a zone of a section is isolated, then the rightmost digit of the
display will show the indication. After disarming the section, the bypass will automatically be
removed.
- If, at the moment of arming, a
24-hour
zone is open, then no message will appear on the display. A
short attention signal will be generated by the keypad and the ordered arming will not be executed. It
is not possible to arm with one ore more 24-hour zones open.
If
all zones
, that belong to the section that must be armed, are
isolated
, then it is not possible to arm
the section. If tried to arm a completely idle section then the attention signal will be generated for a
short moment and the ordered arming will be ignored.
2.8 Isolating zones
Before arming it is possible to enter some zones as isolated zones. After arming the isolated zones
remain disarmed. After disarming the section again, the isolation will be automatically removed.
Enter a PIN-code that is authorized for isolation. On the display appears 'iS'. LED's 1 to 9 indicate if
one of the zones 1 to 9 is already isolated. By pressing one of the keys <1> to <9> the zone will be
isolated and the LED will be turned on. By pressing again, the isolation will be removed. If the LED's
represent the desired programming, press <#>. The rightmost decimal point in the display will be
turned on. The LED's 10 and 1 to 6 now represent the isolation of the zones 10 to 16. If the desired
programming is shown then press <#>.
3. PROGRAMMING PIN-CODES
3.1 Programming pin-code systemsupervisor
Enter systemsupervisor PIN-code. Press <5>-key. The display shows 'C4'. Enter new 4-digit PIN-
code. The new systemsupervisor PIN-code is immediatly in affect. If not sure, which code was
entered, repeat described procedure immediatly before control panel returns to standby.
