Preparation
Evaluatetheterraintodeterminewhataccessoriesand

thejob.Onlyuseaccessoriesandattachmentsapproved

Wearappropriateclothing;includingahardhat,safety
glasses,longpants,safetyshoes,andhearingprotection.

Inspecttheareawheretheequipmentistobeusedand
ensurethatallobjectsareremovedfromthemachine
beforeuse.

DrivingSafety
Youdrivethemachinetoandfromtheworksitewiththeuse
ofatetheredremote.Whendrivingthemachine,observethe
followingsafetyprecautions:
Operatethedrivependantalongsidethemachineoutside
ofthedangerzone(Figure3).
Keepallbystandersawaywhilemovingthemachine.
Donotcarrypassengersonthemachine.
Watchfortheturning-radiussweepofthedrillframe,as
thecenteroftheturningradiusistheendofthetrack.
Movingthemachinewiththetetheredremotecan
beerratic;moveslowlywhenusingtheremotefor
movement.
Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachineontoa
trailer.
Watchfortrafcwhencrossingroadways.
Checkforoverheadclearances(i.e.branches,doorways,
electricalwires)beforedrivingunderanyobjectsanddo
notcontactthem.
Whendrivingonaslope,theoperatorshouldbeup-slope
fromthemachine.
