  • Hello! I've reviewed the Andersen Sash Lock Installation Guide, which covers the installation of double sash locks for 400 Series Tilt-Wash, Tilt-Wash Insert and 200 Series Narroline windows. 1. Mark Location of Sash Locks
DO NOT cover Grille Grommet on sash with
Auxiliary Keeper. This will eliminate the
option of installing a grille.
• Center the Sash Locks between Grille Muntin
(or Grille Grommet if you do not have grilles)
and Side Stiles.
• Mark center locations for Sash Locks with
light pencil marks on check rail.

2. Apply Sash Keeper
3. Apply Sash Lock
4. Remove Center Lock and Keeper
5. Apply Lock and Keeper Covers
Punch out in center of Keeper Cover is to
reveal Grille Grommet. If your unit has a
Grille, remove punch out after installation by
pushing it out using a phillips screwdriver.
• Lock both Sash Locks.
• Unfasten two screws holding center Lock and remove.
• Unfasten two screws holding center Keeper and remove.
• Position a Sash Keeper to one side of
Upper Sash Check Rail, 1/32" back from
edge, and on center of pencil mark as
shown.
• Hold Sash Keeper in position while
drilling two 7/64" holes, no more than
1/2" deep, into upper rail.
• Secure Sash Keeper to Upper Sash
Check Rail using two #6 x 7/8" Screws,
supplied.
• Place Sash Lock on Lower Sash
Check Rail. Lock into Sash Keeper and
position parallel, 3/32" back from edge of
lower rail.
• Hold Sash Lock in position while drilling
two 7/64" holes, no more than a 1/2" deep,
into lower rail.
• Secure Sash Lock to Lower Sash Check
Rail using two #6 x 7/8" Screws, supplied.
• Repeat Steps 2-3 for second Sash Lock
and Keeper on opposite side of sash.
• If window is equipped with an interior grille that has a grille spoke
behind center Keeper, remove the grille.
• Attach Keeper Cover to check rail using two #6 x 7/8" screws
supplied.
• Attach Lock Cover to check rail using two #6 x 7/8" screws supplied.
