Instructions for use
Charging the battery
The DanceFloor has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Make sure the DanceFloorisswitchedo.
Open the protective rubber cover and connect one end of the micro USB charge cable to the micro
USBchargeport(7)ontheDanceFloorandconnecttheotherendtoyourPCorUSBmainsadaptor.
The battery will start charging.
• It takes up to 4 hours to fully charge the battery

Bluetooth setup
Pairing a Bluetooth device for the rst time
With the DanceFloor turned o:
1. Pressandholdthepowerbutton(1)toturntheDanceFlooron
2. The DanceFloor will automatically be in pairing mode
3. Activate the Bluetooth feature on your device and search for Bluetooth devices (check your
device’smanualifyou’reunsurehowtodothis)
4. Select ‘KS Dance Floor’ from the list of found devices
5. If asked for a passcode, enter ‘0000’ and the DanceFloor will then be connected to your device
6. The next time the DanceFloor is switched on, it will automatically search for and attempt to
connect to the last paired device
Note: If your device is not connecting automatically, it’s because it is not the last paired device.
Simply delete ‘KS Dance Floor’ from the list of Bluetooth devices on your device and re-pair
Re-pairing or pairing new devices
•MakesuretheBluetoothisturnedoonanypreviouslypaireddevices
• Follow ‘Pairing a Bluetooth device’ instructions from step 1
Playing audio wirelessly
• Follow the instructions in the ‘Pairing a Bluetooth device’ section
• Use the controls on your device to select content
• Audio played through the connected Bluetooth device will now be heard through the speaker

When playing music
1. To play or pause the selected track, use the controls on your device or press the Play/Pause
button(4)

3. The volume can be adjusted on both your device and the DanceFloor. To change the volume on
theDanceFloor,pressandholdtheVolume–(2)andVolume+(3)buttons(theLEDdisplaywilllight
upblueinblocksof2whenchangingthevolumetoindicatethevolumelevelontheDanceFloor)
Note: Be aware that audio will only emit from the LED light display side of the speaker.
Note: Track control functions from the buttons on the DanceFloor will require your device to have
BluetoothproleAVRCP.Pleasecheckyourdevice’smanualifunsure.
PLEASE NOTE
YourdevicewillhaveaninternalamplierandifitisplayingdigitalleslikeMP3sitwillalsohavean
integratedDAC(DigitalAudioConverter).Ifyouturnupthevolumeto100%,yourdevicewillbesending
distorted signals to the DanceFloor. To avoid this and to get the best sound quality from the speaker,
werecommendthatyoudonotrunyourdeviceanyhigherthan95%volume.
Call-handling
Answer a call When a call comes through, the DanceFloor will play a ringtone

• Open up the DanceFloor as there are no user serviceable parts inside
