During storage and transportation,
especially at high ambient temperature,
the oil and grease used for assembling
may run out inside the packing and
damage the expanded polystyrene
packing material. This is not unusual
and is in no way detrimental to the
product.

Spring preload
Use the C-spanner provided in this kit.
Turn the spring platform nut (A) to set the
spring preload. Lock the setting with the
lock nut (B).
Compression damping
Low speed: Turn the slotted centre screw.
High speed: Turn the hexagon screw.
Turn clockwise (+) to increase damping,
turn counter clockwise (-) to decrease.
Rebound damping
Turn the wheel on the piston shaft on the
end eye/ bracket. Turn clockwise (+) to
increase damping, turn counter clockwise
(-) to decrease.

NOTE!
When delivered the Öhlins shock absorber is
dialed to recommended settings for the specific
brand and make of the vehicle. If you have
changed the setting, reset according to the Set-
up data.
To reset: The adjuster has a right hand thread.
Turn the adjuster clockwise to fully closed (pos.
zero [0]). Turn counter clockwise to open and
count the clicks until you reach the recommended
number in the Set-up data.
CAUTION!
Do not use force, delicate sealing surfaces can be
damaged. Handtighten only.

Raise the front of the snowmobile so that the
skis barely touch the ground.
WARNING!
Make sure the vehicle is securely positioned so
that it will not tip!

Remove the original shock absorbers.

Install the Öhlins shock absorbers. Re-use
the original screws - the longest screw at the
lower attachment.
The external reservoir should be at the top
pointing outwards according figure 3.

Öhlins Owner’s Manual.
NOTE!
Make sure that all screws are tightened to
the correct torque and that nothing fouls or
restricts movement of the shock absorber
when the suspension is fully compressed or
extended.
