Charging:
Locate the USB-C Charging Port (10) and the USB-C to USB-A charging cable included
with this kit. Connect the cable to the port and then connect the other side of the cable to
a USB-A charger. Charging can be accomplished even with a low amperage charger. In
fact, it will work with as little as 1.0 A of charging current (at the standard 5 V USB
voltage). This means you can charge the CL33RGB 2.0 with most basic phone chargers,
a USB-A port in a vehicle, a USB-A port on a laptop computer, a USB power bank, and
more. You can also use higher amperage chargers such as 2.0A, 2.2 A, and 2.4 A with the
CL33RGB 2.0 light. To charge and operate the light simultaneously, an input of at least 5V
/ 2A is required. The maximum charging input is 5.0 A.
A battery icon is shown in the upper, right corner of the LCD Display (5). When the
CL33RGB 2.0 is connected to a charger the battery icon will show an additional icon of a
plug to its left and the inside of the battery will have the appearance of filling from bottom
to top using blinking lights. This will be shown when the light is both turned OFF and when
it is ON. If the light is not connected to a charger and it is turned ON, the battery icon will
be shown without the additional plug icon to its left. There are 3 bars inside of the battery
icon. When all 3 bars are lit the battery is full or nearly full. As the battery is depleted 1 bar
at a time will go out, from top to bottom, to give you a rough indication of the remaining
battery capacity.
Connecting the Light:
The CL33RGB 2.0 is a connection center for up to 3 more accessories. To connect the
CL33RGB 2.0 to a camera you will normally use its cold foot. Slide it into the hot shoe and
tighten the light’s Locking Wheel (2). Alternatively, use the ¼”-20 Threaded Port (12) which
can be found in the base of the light’s cold foot for mounting it to a threaded post, tripod,
light stand, etc.
Attaching accessories to the CL33RGB 2.0 is accomplished by use of any, or all, of the 3
Cold Shoes (4) found around the perimeter of the light. Use these to add a microphone, a
second light, or any lightweight accessory with a cold foot attachment.
The CL33RGB 2.0 can also connect to magnetic surfaces using magnets integrated into
the back of the light. Simply place the back of the light against a magnetic object to
connect it. Be sure to test for a strong connection before releasing the light to avoid
dropping, taking the weight of any attached accessories into consideration.
(2)
Powering ON or OFF:
Press and hold the ON/OFF/Select Button (6) for approximately 2 seconds until the light
illuminates. Press and hold this same button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the light
OFF. Be advised, while the light is ON, quick presses of the ON/OFF/Select Button (6) are
used to make selections within the light’s modes. This is explained in more detail in the
Using the Modes section of this manual.
Adjusting the Brightness:
The light’s illumination brightness is shown in the upper, middle of the LCD Display (5) in any
mode. It is displayed as a percentage on a scale of 1 to 100%. Regardless of the mode which
the light is set to, use the ON/OFF/Select Button (6) to enter the brightness setting before
making a change to it. Quickly press and release the ON/OFF/Select Button and notice a >
symbol will appear to the left of the setting you have entered and can presently change. Do
this until the > symbol appears to the left of the brightness setting. Now that you have entered
the brightness setting, use the Left Arrow Button (7) to decrease the brightness or the Right
Arrow Button (8) to increase it. Quickly pressing and releasing one of the arrow buttons will
make a small change, while holding one of these buttons down will make rapid changes.
Once you have finished adjusting the brightness, press and release the ON/OFF/Select
Button (6) to exit the brightness setting and notice the > symbol is replaced by an icon of a
lock. This shows the brightness is locked-in until you enter the setting once again to make a
change. Note, this brightness setting will stay locked even as you change the light’s mode.
Using the Modes:
The CL33RGB 2.0 has 3 modes: Bi-color, RGB, and Special Effects. The Mode Button (9)
is used to change the mode. The ON/OFF/Select Button (6) is used to choose settings within
each mode, and the two arrow buttons are used to make changes for a selection within a
mode. RGB mode is the light’s color mode. It is identified as HSI (HSI stands for Hue,
Saturation, Intensity). Here you have access to 360 distinct Hues (colors) as well as the ability
to adjust the Saturation of each color and the Intensity (brightness). Each color has a
corresponding number which is shown in the LCD Display (5) in the lower, left corner next to
the letter “H”. The Saturation is shown in the lower right corner next to the letter “S”, and the
Intensity or brightness is shown in the upper, middle of the display.

(4)
Using the Modes (cont’d):
Press and release the ON/OFF/Select Button (6) to select the Hue, Saturation, or Intensity.
Once you have made a selection, the > symbol will appear to the left of it. Use the Left
Arrow Button (7) to decrease the number or the Right Arrow Button (8) to increase it.
Quickly pressing and releasing one of the arrow buttons will make a small change while
holding one of these buttons down will make rapid changes.
Bi-Color mode is the light’s mode for using “white light” with the ability to adjust the
warmth or coolness of the light. It is identified as CCT (CCT stands for Correlated Color
Temperature). In this mode you have the ability to adjust the color temperature on a scale
of 2,500 to 8,500 Kelvin or “K”. The Kelvin scale is commonly used for color temperature.
Simply put, the lower the number the warmer the light and the higher the number the
cooler the light. 2,500 is the warmest setting while 8,500 is the coolest.
While RGB and Bi-Color modes can be used for both still photography and videography,
Special Effects mode is for creating scenes while recording video. The Special Effects
mode is identified as EFFECTS. There are 19 distinct scenes to choose from. These are:
1 – Police Car 2 – Fire Truck 3 – Ambulance
4 – Emergency 5 – Pulsing 6 – H/L Beam
7 – Red Flash 8 – Green Flash 9 – Blue Flash
10 – SOS 11 – HSI Cycle 12 – Flash
13 – Pary 14 – Lightning 15 – Faulty Bulb
16 – TV 17 – Candle 18 – Fire
19 – Firework
The best way to understand each scene is to try it and see the effect. You can adjust the
brightness of each scene as well.
Wireless Control & Use of Groups and Channels:
The CL33RGB 2.0 can be controlled wirelessly using the ProMaster Light Attendant™ app.
This app is available as a free download for iOS or Android devices from the App Store or
Google Play. It is a pleasure to use with phones as well as tablets, connects quickly and
easily, and is extremely intuitive to use. Light Attendant also has extensive help menus at
your disposal. Please download the app and refer to the help menus for further instruction
about the use of the app if necessary. You will find the word HELP at the bottom of every
screen in Light Attendant. Touch this word to enter the help menu for that particular
screen. Use the back arrow at the top of each help screen to exit it.
Wireless Control & Use of Groups and Channels (cont’d):
When using the Light Attendant app, it is important to understand the use of Groups and
Channels on the CL33RGB 2.0 as this is one option for connecting to and controlling the
light. Instructions for setting the Group and Channel are found below.
Groups and Channels are used to identify lights so the app can control a number of them
together or independently. This light has 3 Groups (A,B, and C) and 15 Channels numbered
1 through 15. To change the Group or Channel begin by pressing the Mode Button (9) and
holding it for approximately two seconds to enter the Group and Channel setting menu. The
Group setting is identified as GR and is shown on the lower left of the display, and the
Channel setting is displayed as CH and appears on the right. Use the ON/OFF/Select
Button (6) to enter either setting before making changes using the Left or Right Arrow
Buttons (7, 8). When you are finished, press the Mode button (9) to exit the Group and
Channel setting screen.
Safety Precautions:
1. The CL33RGB 2.0 is not water resistant. Keep it away from rain, snow, high humidity,
moisture, and liquids. Do not allow it to get wet or submerse it.
2. Do not touch with wet hands.
3. Avoid contact with solvents, gasoline, grease, oil, paint, and detergents.
4. Disconnect from power when not in use.
5. Do not disassemble, open the housing, or attempt to repair the unit yourself.
6. Do not operate near flammable liquids.
7. Charge this device exclusively with the provided power cable.
8. Be sure the USB-A charger you choose does not exceed 5 V and/or 5 A.
9. Keep out of reach from children.
10. Do not leave turned ON and/or charging unattended.
11. Do not dispose of in fire.
12. Do not expose to excessive heat.
13. When the useable life of this light is complete, please recycle it responsibly considering
it has an internal li-po battery. Do not dispose of in the trash.
14. It is OK to use the light while it is connected to a USB charger, for continuous use. To
charge and operate the light simultaneously, an input of at least 5V / 2A is required. The
internal battery will charge, slowly, under this condition while you are using the light.
Please be sure to disconnect the light from the charger when you are finished working
with it and when the internal battery is fully charged. And always be sure the charger
has a current output within the specified range of 5V / 1.0 - 5.0 A.

Tips for Operation:
1. It is OK to use the light while it is also charging, so long as an input of at least 5V / 2A is
used. A 5V / 1A input will provide enough power to charge the light, but not enough to
operate and charge the light simultaneously.
2. Using the included soft white diffuser will soften the light and reduce its brightness. It is
especially helpful when the light is close to the subject.
3. All Li-Po batteries lose some of their charge over time even when not in use. If the
CL33RGB 2.0 has not been used for a few days or longer, top it off by connecting it to a
charger for a while.
4. Be careful about how much weight you add to the CL33RGB 2.0 via its 3 cold shoes. In
particular, adding too much weight can put a strain on your camera’s hot shoe.
