for the sport of „Nordic walking“.
Safety instructions
The use of a pulse monitor is recommended.
Should users be aware of problems with their
cardiovascular circulation, a physician should be
consulted before carrying out this type of sport.
Use trainers with a good profi le and lateral
support.
51GB
Avoid carrying out this sport in the dark or use
refl ectors in the dawn or twilight which are to be
worn on your body.
No longer use defective poles.
If possible, avoid public road traffi c.
Nordic walking poles are not suitable for alpine
skiing.
Check that the loop clips are securely fastened
before each use.
Stick length – setting the correct
length:
The sticks are available in four diff erent lengths.
The correct stick length can be calculated by
multiplying your own height by 0.68.
To make this simpler, look at the table to help cal-
culate this length. Round off the result to the nearest
available stick length.
Pole length Body height
110cm 159cm - 165cm
115cm 166cm - 172cm
120cm 173cm - 180cm
125cm 181cm - 187cm

Adjusting loops
Wrist strap
Ergonomically shaped, best possible contact to the
grip for an ideal transmission of power when using
the pole. Easy to close Velcro fastener. Insert the
wrist strap as shown in fi g. A. Put your hand in the
wrist strap from the bottom. The Crivit logo ( in
g. B) must be on the back of the hand. Note the R
marking for the right wrist strap and the L marking
for the left wrist strap.
A
B
Quick removal of the strap from the
pole grip
Press the button down using your thumb and pull
the strap out of the holder (see fi g. C). To attach the
hand strap, simply press the clip back into the lock
opening with a little force. Make sure that the clips
are in the correct position! The points of the clips
should point towards the ends of the sticks.
53GB
The inner side of the hand-strap must point upwards
and the outer side of the hand-strap towards the end
of the stick (see fi g. D).

Thump loop
Adjusting the thumb loop and distance of
the shaft handle to the palm
The thumb loop of the wrist strap is adjustable.
With the thumb loop, you can adjust the distance
between the handle and your palm to suit your
needs. The distance should be chosen so that the
shaft handle is on your hand even when your palm is
open. Pull the closure pin out of the clip on the wrist
strap. Then pull the open end completely out of the
clip (see fi g. E). The closure pin can now be freely
moved back and forth on the thumb loop.

To enlarge the thumb loop and increase the distance
between the wrist strap and the handle, slide the
closure pin further towards the open end (see fi g. F).
Pull the open end back through the clip and press
the pin back into the guide (see fi g. G).

Application/range of
application
This Nordic walking pole is equipped with a hard
metal tip for application in open country, on ice or
other slippery surfaces. It also has an asphalt pad
which can be easily attached and removed when
walking on asphalt or other hard grounds.
This Nordic walking pole is not suitable for Alpine
skiing.
55GB
Warming up/stretching
Before walking, you should do extensive warm-up
and stretching exercises as shown in the illustrations
(see fi g. H).
H
Nordic walking technique
Nordic walking is a combination of walking and
scandinavian crosscountry skiing (therefore Nordic).
By pushing the Nordic walking poles off the ground,
the locomotion is supported. By doing so, chest,
shoulder and arm musculature are trained more
intensely. Nordic walking can be learned easily and
quickly (see fi g. I).

Useful tips
Wear gloves in cold weather.
You should have enough to drink with you during
longer trips (maybe use a drink belt pack or drink
knapsack).
Please wear clothing suitable for the weather.
Start o in level territory – 30 minutes of Nordic
walking comply with approx. 50 minutes of hiking
without poles.
Maintain a consistent speed so that you are still
able to talk while walking.
Equipment
Fiberglas Matrix Carbon
This stick is made from carbon bonded with highly
elastic glass fi bre which cushions vibrations when
walking. This relieves pressure on the elbow, hand
and shoulder joints, which is very important during
training on asphalt or other intensive training.
Grip
The ergonomic shape off ers hands an excellent grip
for power transmission.
Hard metal tips
Extremely durable, enclosed in break-proof, resilient
synthetic material. For ideal power transmission and
grip on dirt roads, in the woods or in open country.
57GB
Tip shield
Built-in tip shield: prevents the tip from digging in too
deep in soft soils.
Asphalt pads
Made of non-skid TPR for the protection of the metal
tips. For smooth ground such as streets, asphalt or
stone. The tip should be pointing backwards to push
off . When you are not using the asphalt pads, they
can be deposited in the holder which is attached to
the pole.
Asphalt pad storage holder
The asphalt pad storage holder is attached directly
to the pole. You can adjust the position of the holder
by loosening the red rubber ring and then adjusting
the holder. Then attach the holder in the new posi-
tion using the rubber ring again to achieve suffi cient
fastening.
Cleaning and care instructions
You can use a cloth soaked with lukewarm water or
soap water to clean the Nordic walking poles.
Never clean the Nordic walking poles with solvent-
containing or potent cleaning agents.
These could attack thickener materials and mar-
kings and damage them in the long run.
58 GB
Storage and transport
Do not expose the Nordic walking poles to direct
sunlight or an increased heat supply because these
infl uences can cause cracking or the degradation
of your Nordic walking poles and therefore, reduce
their durability and signi cantly compromise the fi t-
ness for use. Always store the Nordic walking poles
in dry rooms. Always put the rubber bu ers on the
tips when transporting the poles.
