Known issues and limitations
Configuration issues
When a firewall is configured, cannot discover Iomega StorCenter device 1814 1448
Description: The Iomega StorCenter device cannot be discovered using the Iomega
StorCenter Manager, possibly due to a firewall configuration.
Affected SW Releases: 2.6, 3.1.10, 3.1.12, 3.1.14
Workaround: When you fail to find a Iomega StorCenter device on the network
using the Iomega StorCenter Manager, it is recommended that you check if the
Iomega StorCenter Manager software is being blocked by an existing firewall. If
you have a firewall and during the Iomega StorCenter device setup the firewall
opens a dialog presenting access options, you must choose Allow access. As a

applications or ports, it is recommended to configure a rule that allows access on
local UDP port 2152 for the whole application.
