IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precauons should always be followed, including the
following:
1. Read all instrucons. Keep the instrucon for future
reference.
2. This appliance shall not be used by children from 0
to 8 years. This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above if they are connuously
supervised. This appliance can be used by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instrucon concerning use
of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach
of children aged less than 8 years. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children.
3. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
4. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not
immerse cord, plug or unit in water or any other

liquid.
5. Never leave the appliance unaended while in use.
6. Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
7. Connect the appliance to an earthed socket.
8. Do not let the mains cord hang over the edge of a
table, or touch hot surfaces.
9. Make sure the inner bowl is completely dry before
you fill the fryer with oil or fat.
10. Ensure the oil is filled between the minimum and
maximum oil level marks inside the oil bowl. Do not
switch the appliance on before you have filled with oil
or fat.
11. Hot steam is released through the filter during
frying. Keep your hands
and face at a safe distance
from the steam.
12. This appliance is intended for household use only.
13. Do not use outdoors.
14. Do not fry food with heavy moisture content as
this might cause heavy spaering of oil or fat.
15. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug or aer the appliance malfuncons, or is

dropped or damaged in any manner.
16. Do not use any accessories that are not
recommended by the manufacturer. They could
constute a danger to user and damage to the
appliance.
17. Provide proper venlaon when using the
appliance.
18. Unplug from outlet when not in use. Allow to cool
before moving, cleaning or storing the appliance.
19. Remove the plug from wall outlet. Do not pull the
supply cord.
20. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualied persons in order to avoid
a hazard.
21. The appliance is not intended to be operated by
means of an external mer or a separate
remote-control system.

BEFORE USING FIRST USE
Take the appliance and accessories from the box. Remove all packaging.
Place the device on a at stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10cm free space
around the device. This device is not suitable for insta
n in a cabinet or for
external use.
Wipe o all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products. Wash
the basket in warm soapy water and dry it well before use. Clean the inside of the
pan with a damp cloth and wipe it dry thoroughly. Ensure that all electrical
parts
remain completely dry.

Assembly the handle and basket
1. Take the basket from the packaging. See figure 1.
2. Turn the handle outwards and lock in place.

Connect the unit to the mains. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on
the device matches the local voltage before co
the device. Voltage
220V-240V 50Hz)
Preparing oil/ fat
It is advised that never mix dierent types of oil or fat. We recommended you to
use frying oil or liquid frying fat.
Ensure that the oil/fat is not contaminated with water, for example from frozen
products, this will cause excessive spa ering.
Never use the fryer without oil or fat as this will damage the appliance.
Never pour any liquid, such as water, in the pan.
Using solid fat entails the risk of trapping water in the fat which will cause it to
spa
er violently when heated up. If you intent to use solid frying fat, the following
steps must be taken to prevent the fat from spa
ering.
1. Put the blocks of fat into normal pan and melt it rst with a low heat.
2. Pour the melted fat carefully into the fryer.
3. If the solid fat is solidified from last frying oper punch some holes into the
solidied fat with a fork.

3. Put the food to the basket and check the handle is securely locked before cooking.
Note : Do not unfold the handle during cooking.

USING THE APPLIANCE
1. Place the fryer on a stable, at and dry surface.
2. Ensure the fryer is switched o by turning the temperature knob to “OFF”
posion.
3. Connect the appliance to the mains.
4. Fill the tank with the required amount of oil or fat. Ensure that the appliance is
filled at least to the minimum level and not higher than the maximum level, as
indicated on the inside of the fryer. For opmal results we advice to avoid mixing
dierent types
of oil.

5. Select the desired temperature with the temperature knob on the control panel.
The thermostat indicator will illuminate.
6. For the best results the food should be dry before being placed in the basket.
7. With the basket posioned on the hook, put the food into the basket (e.g. res)
and slowly immerse into the heated oil or fat to prevent the oil from bubbling up too
strongly.
8. Ensure the basket has been inserted properly. The
appliance shall be used with lid
up.
9. Stays at the correct temperature, the thermostat will switch on and o.
10. Li the basket when the frying me has elapsed and hang it on the hook in the
pan so the oil can drip o.
Frying Tips
Use a maximum of 200 grams of chips per litre of oil.
When using frozen products, use a maximum of 100 grams because the oil cools o
rapidly. Shake frozen products above the sink to remove excess ice.

When fresh chips are used, dry the chips a er washing them to ensure no water
gets into the oil. Fry the chips in two turns. First
me (blanch) 5 to 10 minutes at 170
degrees. Second
me (nishing) 2 to 4 minutes at 190 degrees. Allow the oil to drip
o.
Changing the oil
Make sure the fryer and the oil or fat have cooled down before changing the oil or
fat (remove the plug of the device from the socket). Change the oil regularly. This is
par
ularly necessary when the oil or fat goes dark or the smell changes. Always
change the oil a
er every 10 frying sessions. Change the oil in one go. Never mix old
and new oil.
Used oil is harmful to the environment. Do not dispose of it with your normal
rubbish but follow the guidelines issued by the local authori es.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.
Detach the handle from basket, wash the basket and handle in hot water and
washing-up liquid, Rinse and dry carefully.
Wash the lid in warm soapy water, rinse, then stand the lid upright (with the spring
at the bo
om), to drain and dry. To replace the lid, slide the spring into the slot, and
the lugs at the ends of the spring into the posts at the rear of the fryer.
Never immerse the device under water.
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners,
scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.

er every 12 uses.

Storing
Ensure the fryer is completely cool down before storing.
Do not fold the handle into the basket un
the oil has cooled down.
FRYING TIPS
The table below is for reference only. If the instruc ons on the package of the food to
be cooked dier from those in the table, always follow the instruc
ons on the
package.
c. Clean the inside of the lter cover with damp soapy sponge. Rinse and dry
thoroughly.

If the plug has to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or becomes
damaged, it should be cut o and appropriate plug ed following the wiring
instruc
ons. The plug removed must be disposed of safely as inser on into a mains
socket is likely to cause an electrical hazard.
This unit must be earthed. This equipment must be disconnected from the mains
when not in use. Do not allow this unit to be exposed to rain or moisture.
For your own safety read the following instruc ons carefully before

emp ng to connect this unit to the mains.
You should only plug the appliance into a 220-240V~50Hz supply. Connec
ng it to
other power sources may damage the appliance.
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the
following code:
BLUE = NEUTRAL
BROWN = LIVE
GREEN + YELLOW = EARTH
CONNECTION TO POWER
Before connec ng, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds
with the main voltage in your home. If this is not the case, consult your dealer and do
not use.
This appliance may be ed with a non-rewirable plug. If you need to change the
fuse in a non-rewirable plug, the fuse cover must be re
