Design: The shunt is delivered assembled and can be
mounted directly on the manifold. As standard,
the shunt is delivered for left-side mounting.
However, it can be reversed.
Connection for flow and return flow is marked
with arrows on the shunt. Connection from below
(standard), from the side or from the top.
We recommend that, especially in connection
with district heating substations for direct heat-
ing, a dirt collector be mounted before the shunt
together with a possible differential pressure
controller, (e.g. Danfoss AVPL).
Wiring diagram: All electrical connections must be performed by
authorised personnel according to current rules
and regulations.
The optional Danfoss AT thermostat is a safety
thermostat for the protection of e.g. wooden
floors against high temperatures. In the event of
Example of system:
over temperature, the AT thermostat cuts off the
floor-heating control so as to close the thermal
actuators.
If no controls are connected, the AT thermostat
will shut down e.g. the boiler or pump.

Capacities for RA-C valve:
Presetting of
RA-C valve:
The calculated settings values can be chosen easily,
precisely and without the use of special tools.
- Remove the protective cap or the sensor unit.
- Lift the setting ring.
- Turn the setting ring clockwise until the preferred
scale value is against the reference point.
- Let go of the setting ring and check the setting.
Presetting
area
RA-C valve: The RA-C valve is placed on the return outlet for
the heat supply and is adjustable to the preferred
flow quantity that is to be fed to the shunt.
If there is more than one building, the maximum
available capacity is thus ensured. Furthermore,
the correct presetting will limit noise in the heat
-
ing system.
The possible presetting values are:
1, 2, 3 and N. If you chose “N”, the valve will be
fully open (factory setting). Setting within the
hatched areas on the drawing should be avoided.
Once the sensor has been mounted, the presetting
is locked and thus secured against any changes.

The shunt is equipped with a Grundfos
UPS 15-60 3-speed pump.
Pump setting: The pump can be set as described in the instruc-
tions enclosed with the pump.
Dimensioned sketch:
FTC: The FTC must be set to the preferred temperature in
the shunt, which is typically 30 °C 40 °C depending
on the floor construction, insulation andooring.
The maximum and minimum settings can be
limited as shown below:
