The BD MaxPlus™ needleless connector is a closed luer activated device which is indicated for needleless access to the IV line and/or IV catheter during IV therapy. It can be used for direct injection, intermittent infusion, continuous infusion or aspiration.
The device has a flat, smooth surface for optimum disinfection during pre-access swabbing, and a positive displacement feature that produces a positive bolus of fluid to clear the catheter upon disconnection of the male luer.
