Description: 0.9% Sodium Chloride Flush Syringes contain
preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride injection, USP, in
prefilled syringes of various sizes and fill volumes. Each
1 mL of solution contains 9 mg of sodium chloride, USP.
The syringes are disposable and intended for single use
only. The solution osmolarity is 0.31 mOsm/mL (calc.).
Directions for use:
1. Use aseptic technique. The uid and uid path are sterile, nonpyrogenic
and nontoxic. Do not place on sterile eld.
2. Do not use if the syringe or its cap is damaged or displaced or if any
leakage is evident. Do not use if solution is hazy, cloudy, discolored or
contains a precipitate.
3. Remove packaging.
4. Push on plunger with tip cap attached to break seal.
5. Remove syringe tip cap.
6. If required, attach needle or cannula to syringe.
7. Hold syringe upright and expel air bubble. Syringe is now ready for use.
8. Conrm patency of the access device.
9. Use in accordance with recommendations of manufacturer of IV access device.
Ensure that the injected volume is equivalent to that of the access device.
10. For single use only. Discard syringe and any unused contents after use.
Do not reuse syringe.

use in ushing compatible intravenous
administration sets and indwelling
intravenous access devices. Use
according to the recommendations for
the appropriate device.
Contraindications: None known.
Warnings: Do not use if uid is
cloudy or has any type of suspended
particulate matter. Do not use if the
syringe or cap is damaged in any way.
Precautions: Do not reuse. For single
use only. Discard any unused portion.
Verify the expiration date on the
product label. Do not use if product
is expired. Avoid contact between
this solution and incompatible
drug products. Consult appropriate
compatibility literature.
Adverse reactions: None known from
use in these quantities.
Overdosage: None known from use in
these quantities.
How supplied: 0.9% Sodium Chloride
Flush Syringes are available in a variety
of ll volumes and syringe sizes.
