19) Grounding instrucons: (See Illus. a or b).
a) On xtures where mounng strap is provided with a hole and two raised dimples, wrap ground wire from outlet
box around green ground screw, and thread into hole.
b) On xtures where a cupped washer is provided,aach ground wire from outlet box under cupped washer and
green ground screw, then thread into mounng strap.
If xture is provided with ground wire, connect xture ground wire to outlet box ground wire with wire connector
aer following the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power supply wires.

21) Aach the safety cable[D] to the mounng strap or to the inside of the outlet box.
22) Push xture to ceiling, carefully passing mounng screws through holes in canopy[H].
NOTE: Be certain wires do not get pinched between mounng strap and canopy, or canopy and ceiling.
23) Use knobs[K] and lockwashers[N] to secure canopy. Tighten to secure.
24) Aach upper trim piece[S] to upper bar[U] by aligning holes on ends of bar with holes on top of upper trim piece.
Insert studded nials[V] into aligned holes and screw nial[W] onto threads protruding from inside trim piece (2
places).
25) Aach small glass panel[Y] to upper trim piece[S] by aligning two (2) holes on glass with holes on side of upper
trim piece. Insert studded nial[X] into aligned holes. Slip nylon washer[AA] onto protruding threads on inside
of upper trim piece and screw nial[Z] onto threads. Repeat to aach other small glass panel to opposite side of
upper trim piece. Do not ghten nials completely.
26) Aach small glass panel to lower trim piece[AB] by aligning holes in glass panel with holes on side of lower trim
piece. Insert studded nial[X] into aligned holes. Slip nylon washer[AA] onto protruding threads on inside of lower
trim piece and screw nial[Z] onto threads. Repeat to aach other small glass panel to opposite side of lower trim
piece. Do not ghten nials completely.
27) Aach large glass panels[O] to upper trim piece[S] by aligning two (2) holes on glass with holes on side of upper
trim piece. Insert studded nial[X] into aligned holes. Slip nylon washer[AA] onto protruding threads on inside of
upper trim piece and screw nial[Z] onto threads. Repeat to aach other large glass panel to opposite side of upper
trim piece. Do not ghten nials completely.
28) Aach large glass panel to lower trim piece[AB] by aligning holes in glass panel with holes on side of lower trim
piece. Insert studded nial[X] into aligned holes. Slip nylon washer[AA] onto protruding threads on inside of lower
trim piece and screw nial[Z] onto threads. Repeat to aach other small glass panel to opposite side of lower trim
piece.

1) On side of xture with xture wires, pass xture wires through a short threaded tube[B] and center tube[T]. Screw
center tube into coupling aached to socket bar[AC] using short threaded tube[B].
2) On opposite side of xture (without xture wires) Screw a center tube into coupling aached to socket bar using a
short threaded tube.
3) On side of xture with xture wires, pass xture wire from center tube[T] through long threaded tube[R] and
screw long threaded tube into center tube.
4) On opposite side of xture (without xture wires) Screw remaining long threaded tube into other center tube.
5) On side of xture with xture wires, pass xture wires through one of the center holes in upper bar[U] and through
desired number of stems[A] and short threaded tubes[B]. Screw stems together using short threaded tubes.
6) On opposite side of xture (without xture wires) screw a second set of stems and tubes together using short
threaded tubes (same number of stems and tubes from previous step but without xture wire).
NOTE: Thread locking compound must be applied to all stem threads as noted with symbol (4) to prevent
accidental rotaon of xture during cleaning, relamping, etc.
7) Insert exposed ends of long threaded tubes[R] into center holes in upper bar[U].
8) On side of xture with xture wires, screw rst stem of connected set of stems onto exposed threads of long
threaded tube protruding through upper bar.
9) On opposite side of xture (without xture wires) screw rst stem of connected set of stems onto exposed threads
of long threaded tube protruding through upper bar.
10) On side of xture with xture wires, pass xture wires through one short threaded tube[B]. Screw short threaded
tube onto top of stem.
11) On opposite side of xture (without xture wires), screw one short threaded tube onto top of stem.
12) Pass xture wires through hole in canopy[H]. Lower canopy down towards stems. Pass holes in canopy over ends of
short threaded tubes on top of the stems.
13) On side of xture with xture wires, pass xture wires through loop of safety cable[D]. Slip loop of safety cable
over end of short threaded tube protruding from inside of canopy.
14) Pass xture wires through lockwasher[E]. Place lockwasher onto end of short threaded tube protruding from inside
canopy.
15) Pass xture wires through hexnut[F]. Thread hexnut onto end of short threaded tube.
NOTE: Fixture wires should not be cut shorter than 20 inches from above the canopy.
16) On opposite side of xture (without xture wires), place loop of ground wire[P] over short threaded tube
protruding from inside of canopy and secure into place with a lock washer and hexnut as shown.
17) Find the appropriate threaded holes on mounng strap[G]. Assemble mounng screws[J] into threaded holes (if
they are not already installed).
18) Aach mounng strap to outlet box[C] using the strap mounng screws[I]. Mounng strap can be adjusted to suit

loop through hole in canopy.
5) Pass xture wires through loop of safety cable[D]. Slip loop of safety cable over end of short threaded tube protruding
from inside of canopy.
6) Pass xture wires through lockwasher[E]. Place lockwasher onto end of short threaded tube protruding from inside
canopy.
7) Pass xture wires through hexnut[F]. Thread hexnut onto end of short threaded tube.
NOTE: Fixture wires should not be cut shorter than 20 inches from above the canopy.
8) On opposite side of xture (without xture wires), Thread rst loop[Q] onto end of last stem. Pass threaded pipe at end
of second loop[L] through hole in canopy.
9) Place loop of ground wire[P] over short threaded tube protruding from inside of canopy and secure into place with a
lock washer and hexnut as shown.
10) Aach open chain link[M] to small loops at end of each stem and to small loops on canopy and close the open chain link
by placing a piece of cloth over the open link and using a pair of pliers gently squeeze the link closed.
