The solution flow should be directed
into the end of the sensor and allowed
to pass out the circulation holes.
The sensor should be mounted so the
cavity does not trap air or solids.
Mettler-Toledo Thornton does not
recommend mounting the sensor in a
vertical pipe with the flow direction
down, because air bubbles or air
pockets will affect the sensor
measurement.

SENSOR MAINTENANCE
Clean 10 and 50 constant sensors only chemically with dilute acid or other suitable cleaning agent. Do NOT clean the
inside of the cavities with a small brush or pipe cleaner because this would result in permanent damage to the internal
electrodes and cause erroneous measurements.
WARNING: USE STANDARD SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IF CLEANING WITH ACID.
