Mounting
The actuator should be
mounted with the valve
stem in either horizontal
position or pointing
upwards.
The actuator is fixed to the
valve body by means of a
mounting ring which
requires no tools for
mounting. The ring should
be tightened by hand.
WARNING!
Do not operate the actuator
until after you have
mounted it on the valve.
Function switch
setting
➊ How to open the
actuator?
Insert the small
screwdriver into the
opening on the
housing (direction 1)
first and then push it in
the direction 2.
Remove the lid.

DIP Switch Settings:
The actuator has five DIP
switch positions. The
function of each position is:
SW1: U/I
Input signal type selector
OFF = voltage input
ON = current input
SW2: 0/2
Input range selector
OFF = 0 - 10 V or
OFF = 0 - 20 mA
ON = 2 - 10 V or
ON = 4 - 20 mA
SW3: D/I - Direct or
inverted direction selector
ON = Inverted direction
SW4:
To reset commissioning
positions, change switch
position
SW5:
Anti-sticking cycle
ON =1 complete cycle/24h
(to cleanse valve seat and
plug from accumulated
impurities).
NOTE:
The DIP switch can be set
before or after self-
adjustment!

Wiring
Control signal
The control signal from the
controller must be connected
to the Y terminals (grey
wire - input signal) and the
COM (black wire - common)
of the AME cable.
Supply voltage
The supply voltage (24 V~
± 10%, 50 Hz) must be
connected to the 24 V
terminals (red wire) and
the COM (black wire).
Operation
After the actuator has
been connected to the
power supply, the actuator
will start the self-
adjustment procedure. The
LED indicator flashes until
the self-adjustement is
finished. The duration
depends on the spindle
travel and would normally
last a few minutes. The
stroke length of the valve
is stored in the memory
after the self-adjustment
has been completed.

To restart the self-
adjustment, change
position of DIP switch
No. 4 (page 5, ). If the
supply voltage is switched
off or falls below 80% for
more than 0.1 s, the
current valve position will

be stored in the memory
and all data remain saved
in the memory also after a
power faulure.
Note: Each time the
actuator is dismounted, the
self-adjustment procedure
must be repeated!
Important: Only dismount
the actuator with the stem
pointing upwards!
Manual override
1 Remove the small soft
plug from the lid.
2 Insert the torx T40 key
into the opening.
3 Operate the drive
manually in the desired
direction.
Caution:
When the end position
by Torx key is
reached, the rotation
must be reversed for
app. 1/2 of turn. This
should be done before
connecting to the
actuator power supply
again.
4 Pull out the tool and
insert the small soft plug
back.

Function test
The light emitting diode
indicates whether the
actuator is in operation or
not, the operating status,
and failures, if any.
• No light
- no operation or no
power supply
• Constant light
- normal operation
• Flashing light (1 Hz)
- self adjusting-mode
• Flashing light (~ 3 Hz):
- power supply too low.
