WARNING!
Do not operate actuator before
you install it on the valve.
4
Warning: The actuator may be overtightened fully
stem down (A to AB fully open) causing it to jam. To
prevent this, turn to the end stop then turn back five
clicks of the ratchet.

Fig.2.13 DIP Switch Settings
The actuator has five position DIP
Switch with the next functionality:
· SW1: U/I - Input signal type selector:
Voltage input is selected, if set to OFF
position. Current input is selected, if
set to ON position.
· SW2: 0/2 - Input signal range
selector:
Input signal is in the range from 0 V to
10 V (voltage input) or from 0 mA to
20 mA (current input) if set to OFF
position. If set to ON position, the
input signal is in the range from 2 V to
10 V (voltage input) or from 4 mA to
20 mA (current input).
· SW3: D/I - Direct or inverted acting
selector:
To invert the direction of the actuator
set it to ON position.
· SW4: Reset:
To reset the commisioning positions
change the switch position.
· SW5: Anti-sticking cycle:
When set to ON, the actuator
performs one complete cycle every 24
hours to clear possible accumulation
of impurities from the valve plug and
seat.
Note: DIP switch can be set before or
after self - adjustment.
3. Wiring (Fig. 4)
3.1 Control signal
Control signal from the controller must
be connected to terminals Y (grey
wire - input signal) and COM (black
wire - common) on the AME cable.
3.2 Supply voltage
Supply voltage (24 V~ ± 10%, 50 Hz)
must be connected to the terminals
24 V (red wire) and COM (black wire).
4. Operation
After the actuator has been
connected to the power supply, the
actuator will start the self-adjustment
procedure. The indicator LED flashes
until self-adjustment is finished. The
duration depends on the spindle
travel and would normally last a few
minutes. The stroke length of the
valve is stored in the memory after
self-adjustment has been completed.
To restart self-adjustment, change
position of the DIP switch No. 4
(Fig 2.12). If the supply voltage is
switched off or falls below 80% for
more than 0.1 s, the current valve
position will be stored in the memory
and all data remain saved in the
memory also after the power supply
cut-out.
Note: After every dismounting the
actuator, self adjustment procedure
must be repeated!
Important: Do not dismount the actuator
in any other position but the stem up!
5. Function test
The indicator LED shows whether the
actuator is in operation or not.
Moreover, the indicator LED shows
the control status and faults:
No light
- no operation or no power supply
Constant light
- normal operation
Interval light (1 Hz)
- self adjusting-mode
Interval light (~ 3 Hz):
- power supply too low
