First start-up quick start guide
ATTENTION
Strictly observe the safety instructions in the operating manual before the assembly and
first start-up.
Ensure that the Elmasteam 4.5 is switched off.
Fixed nozzle mounting (option)
1. Remove the blanking plug by unscrewing the
nut (A).
2. Screw the fixed nozzle with the nut (B) onto the
connection nozzle on the machine.
3. Tighten the nut with a ¼ turn using a 12 mm
open-ended spanner.
4. Slide the black protection sleeve in the direction
of the arrow over the nut.
Filling water
1. Open pressure tank screw cap.
2. Place the sieve (C) in the collecting basin.
3. Fill water slowly!
Note the maximum filling volume of the
pressure tank of approx. 3.2 litres.
4. Remove the sieve.
5. Close the pressure tank screw cap by hand
(hand tight).

Machines with pump (Elmasteam 4.5 med P)
ATTENTION!
• The Elmasteam 4

should preferably be operated using demineralised water.
If the conductivity of the water < 15 µS/cm or if the conductivity is unknown, 1 level
teaspoon of table salt must be added to the machine during initial commissioning (one-
time only!): Dissolve the salt in 1 glass of water and fill into the filling opening (C).
Connection of the pump to the water line
1. Put the rubber seals (F) into the screw thread
(G/H).
2. Attach the hose (K) to the water connection (L)
on the rear side of the machine.
3. Attach the connection hose to a water supply
(E). Pay attention to correct and secure
fastening of the hose.
4. Unscrew the pressure tank screw cap for the
initial filling. Fill approx. 1 litre of water into the
pressure tank manually. Do not screw the cap
on yet.
5. Open the water tap for the water supply.
6. Connect the Elmasteam 4
5
steam jet cleaner to
a suitable grounded power outlet.
7. Screw the screw cap closed again as soon as
the machine stops pumping.
The filling process now regulates itself
automatically.
Required maintenance work
ATTENTION!
Note the detailed instructions in the operating manual (chapter 7).
Damage to the machine that has been caused by not performing maintenance is not covered
by the liability for material and manufacturing defects!
