Sending a Text Message
Keep in touch without even making a phone call!
With text messaging, you can communicate discreetly,
efciently, and seamlessly.
1. Slide open the phone, and press

2. Enter a phone number or e-mail address, or press the
Right Soft Key to choose someone from your contacts
or recent calls, then press
.
3. Enter your text message.
4. To enhance your text message with graphics, sounds, or
animations, press the Right Soft Key for Options, then
select Add (1).
5. Press
to send.
Sending an Instant Message
Chat in real time just as you would on your computer!
With the QWERTY keyboard, you can IM in a ash.
1. Slide open the phone and select Instant Messaging (2).
2. Press
to accept the Terms of Use.
3. Highlight your preferred IM service provider, then
press
.
4. Enter your screen name/ID and password, then press
twice.
5. Highlight a contact that is online and press
.
6. Type a message and press
twice.
Transferring Music
Keep your favorite songs on hand – and in your
pocket – with Scoop! Store up to approximately
960 songs using an optional 4GB microSD card.*
1. Insert your microSD card into the memory port with the
gold contacts facing down.
2. The rst time you transfer music, you must format the
card. Press
, then select Settings (9) > Memory (8) >
Card Memory (3).
3. Press the Right Soft Key for Format, then select Yes (1).
4. Connect a USB cable* from the phone to your PC.
5. The PC will recognize the phone as a Removable Disk and
a screen will appear. Drag and drop music les on your PC
into the My_Music folder.
6. When you are nished, disconnect the phone.

Playing Music
Get in the groove with Scoop’s integrated music player.*
Forget carrying around a separate device – this phone
has it all!
1. Insert a microSD card containing music with the gold
contacts facing down.
2. Press left on the Navigation Key, then press

3. Choose a category, then press

4. Select the song you want to hear and press
to begin
playing it.
5. Use the side Volume Keys
to adjust the volume
when a song is playing.

on the Navigation Key to go to the previous/

Bluetooth

Pairing
Chat hands-free or exchange contact information
wirelessly. Thanks to Bluetooth, you’ll never have to
bother with cords or wires again!
1. Set your Bluetooth accessory into pairing mode.*
2. Press
, then select Bluetooth (7) and
Paired Devices (1).
3. Press the Left Soft Key for Search. When prompted to
turn on Bluetooth, press
.
4. Press
to begin a new search.
5. Once the Bluetooth device has been found, highlight it
and press
.
6. Enter the passcode* (typically “0000” – 4 zeroes)
and press
.
7. Press
to connect with the device.
* Refer to your Bluetooth accessory’s user manual for
information about initiating pairing mode and the passcode.

2. Press left or right on the Navigation Key to adjust the
brightness and up or down for zoom.* Press the
Right Soft Key to adjust other camera/video options.
