Attach ends of lower
handle to handle brackets
using the hairpins clips,
carriage screws, and wing
nuts. Notch in handle
should face downward
towards the ground.
Lift upper handle
to extended
position (A)
and tighten star
knobs (B).

Slowly slip starter rope
(A) into rope guide.
Tighten rope guide
wing knob (B).
Slide hose (A) of
into adapter. Pull
pin (B) and align
with first hole in
hose. Release pin
to lock hose.
Align pin
with this
hole.

Snap hose
handle into
upper bracket
and then into
lower bracket
(A). Lay hose
in curved
end of hose
handle (B).
Pull locking rod towards
engine (A), install bag
(B, C, D), and release
locking rod.

Fill tank with gas to within 1/2 inch of top of tank.

Move throttle on engine to START/RUN position.
Fill engine with entire contents of oil bottle.
Move choke control toward the throttle control to choke the
engine.
Pull starter rope with quick, full armstroke. When engine
starts, slowly move choke to off position (away from
throttle). If engine does not start after ten seconds of
repeated pulls, wait a few minutes and repeat this step.
