TrammingSafety
Youmovethemachinetoandfromtheworksitewith
theuseofatravelpendant.Whentramming(moving
themachinewiththependant),observethefollowing
safetyprecautions:
Operatethetravelpendantalongsidethemachine
outsideofthedangerzone(Figure3).
Keepallbystandersawaywhiletrammingthe
machine.
Donotcarrypassengersonthemachine.
Watchfortheturning-radiussweepofthedrill
frame,asthecenteroftheturningradiusisthe
endofthetrack.
Moveslowlywhenusingthependantfortramming.
Usecarewhenloadingorunloadingthemachine
ontoatrailer.
Watchfortrafcwhencrossingroadways.
Checkforoverheadclearances(i.e.,doorways,
branches,electricalwires)beforetrammingunder
anyobjectsanddonotcontactthem.
Whentrammingonaslope,youshouldbeuphill
fromthemachine.
Usethefollowingillustrationtoensurethatbystanders
donotenterthedangerzonewhileyouaretramming
themachine.
