Notes on FCC’s “Consistent Statement of Information” This product meet the requirements speciﬁed in

Part 15 of FCC Regulation. Operation rests with the following two conditions:

(1) The equipment should not cause any harmful interference.

(2) The equipment must receive and process any interference, including any possible interference

caused by operation mistakes.

After testing the product, we conﬁrm that the camera complies with the provision for class C digital

equipment in the 15th part in FCC regulations; and the receiver complies with the limitations for class

B digital equipment in Part 15 of FCC regulation. The product generates, applies and emits radio

waves. It might cause harmful interferences to wireless communication if not be installed and used

following the description of the manual.

The product may cause interference in residential area, and the customer should take remedies to

eliminate the interference on their own costs.

If the product causes any harmful interference to wireless equipment or disturbs the receiving of TV

signals (it can be identiﬁed by turning on and off the product), you can solve the trouble by following

methods:

• Readjust the product or put it in another place.

• Extend the distance between the equipment interfered and the product.

• Refer to dealers or experienced radio electrician for help.

Warranty

SecurityMan Inc warrants that this product will be free from defects in title, materials and manufactur-

ing workmanship for one year or otherwise speciﬁed on the product packaging. This limited warranty

shall commence from the date of purchase. SecurityMan products warranty is not transferable and is

limited to the original purchaser. If the product is found to be defective then, as your sole remedy and

as the manufacturer’s only obligation, SecurityMan will repair or replace the product. This warranty

shall not apply to products that have been subjected to abuse, misuse, abnormal electrical or environ-

mental conditions, normal wear and tear, or any condition other than what can be considered normal

use.

Warranty Disclaimer

SecurityMan Inc, makes no other warranties, express, implied or otherwise, regarding this product,

and speciﬁcally disclaims any warranty for merchantability or ﬁtness for a particular purpose. The

exclusion of implied warranties is not permitted in some states and the exclusions speciﬁed herein may

not apply to you. This warranty provides you with speciﬁc legal rights. There may be other rights that

you have which vary from state to state.

Limitation of Liability

The liability of SecurityMan Inc, arising from this warranty and sale shall be limited to a refund of the

purchase price. In no event shall SecurityMan be liable for costs of procurement of substitute products

or services, or for any lost proﬁts, or for any consequential, incidental, direct or indirect damages,

however caused and on any theory of liability, arising from this warranty and sale. These limitations

shall apply not withstanding any failure of essential purpose of any limited remedy.

When using this product, the safety precautions below must be taken to avoid possible legal lia-

bilities and damages. Retain and follow all product safety and operating instructions. Observe

all warnings in the product operating instructions. To reduce the risk of bodily injury, electric

shock, ﬁre and damage to the equipment, observe the following precautions.

PLEASE NOTE that under certain circumstances, audio/video recording may be PROHIBITED by

law. This device should be used only in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local

statutes.

• DO NOT place this product too close to medical equipment.

1. Radio waves may potentially cause breakdown of medical electrical equipment and thus

cause incidents.

2. Place this product at least 22cm from the heart pacemaker. Radio wave potentially inﬂuences

heart pacemaker and thus leads to respiratory disturbance.

• DO NOT uses this product to monitor equipment or activities that are relevant to one’s

privacy.

Monitoring one’s private activities without consent is illegal and this product is not designed or

manufactured for these purposes.

• DO NOT use this product to carry out any illegal activities such as sneak preview, and etc.

SecurityMan shall not be responsible for any consequences of illegal conducts made by users.

• DO NOT put the plastic package bags in reach of children or babies. Young children can

choke on these items if they put them into their mouths.

• DO NOT plug the AC adapter into the outlet in improper situations.

• Plugging in an AC adapter with wet hands might cause electric shock.

• Plugging in the AC adapter unsteadily might cause re or electric shock.

• DO NOT cover the AC adapter when it is connected to an outlet, place the adapter near

heaters, or put it on the ﬂoor which is equipped with a heater. The above mentioned operation

might cause ﬁre or incidents.

• DO NOT use it aboard; please abide by the airway’s provision. It might inﬂuence communi-

cation aboard and the ﬂying apparatus if departing from the airway’s regulation. This will result

in accident, possible death and severe physical hurt.

• DO NOT disassemble or repair the camera, receiver or other relevant peripheral equipment

s by yourself. Improper disassembly might cause damages to the product or the peripheral

equipment.

• DO NOT put the camera in quaky paces. The camera may be unstable or out of operation

if installed improperly. Such installation may also cause breakdown.

• DO NOT touch, shake or hold the antenna. Touching, shaking or holing the antenna might

inﬂuence the receiving of electromagnetic wave, and thereby inﬂuence the receiving effect.

• DO NOT use the camera in complex environment, the obstruction of stumbling block will

affect the electromagnetic wave and inﬂuence the receiving range. Wall, tree and other stum-

bling block might absorb, reﬂect the electromagnetic wave, and inﬂuence the receiving range.

• DO NOT use the camera in the places which are covered with metal. The around metal,

such as elevator and cabin, might shield the electromagnetic wave, and result in inability to

receive signals.

Product Basics

HARDWARE SETUP

Insert your Micro SD memory card (not included) into the TF slot located on the back side of

the camera. Then insert the female end of the cameras AC adapter into the DC in port located

behind the camera and the other end into a wall outlet closest to you. You can re-position the

camera to a different location once it has been successfully added to the app.

MOBILE DEVICE SETUP (Smartphone/Tablet)

Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) on your mobile device. Then search for

and install the “CAMERALIVE” application.

ADDING THE CAMERA TO THETHE APP (Smart Cong Method)

The CAMERALIVE app has a built in “user friendly” step-by-step interactive guide that you can

follow when adding the camera.

IMPORTANT:

• Make sure your Smartphone or tablet is connected to “the same Wi-Fi network as the

one you want to put the new camera on”.

• Make sure you have the app installed on your Smartphone or tablet.

• Make sure the camera(s) being added is no more than 2 feet from you during the pairing

process. You can place the camera in the desired location when completed.

When you are ready, launch the app and tap on the + (add) symbol located to the bottom left

corner of the screen to begin adding the new camera.

Tap on the SEARCH IN LAN option, and then select SMART CONFIG.

“Press and Release” the pair button on the front of the camera. At this point the green

power LED located on the front of the camera will start to ﬂash rapidly indicating that it is in

pair mode. Once the LED starts to ﬂash rapidly, press next on the Smartphone prompt.

When prompted, input the Wi-Fi password of the network that you are currently con-

nected too and press next. This will allow the app to smart conﬁgure the camera using your

current wireless network.

NOTE: This part of the setup process may take up to a minute to complete. Please be patient

and wait for the device password screen to pop up.

Once your camera has been detected by the app the green power LED on the camera

should start to ﬂash steady. When prompted, give your camera a name (front door, living room,

etc) input the default camera password 123456 and tap save. Once completed, your cam-

era will be added to the device list area.

APP (CAMERA LIVE) LIVE VIEW AND SETTINGS

To access your camera, simply launch the CAMERA LIVE app on our mobile device then tap

on the camera you want to view to bring up the live view. When you have a live view of the

camera image, you can then swipe up, down, left & right to move the camera in the corre-

sponding direction (Not applicable for SM-825DTH model).

Tapping on the Back option will return you to the previous screen.

LIVE VIEW

Cameras live feed.

SNAPSHOT

Takes a snapshot of the current live view and saves it to your phones photo album.

REFRESH

Refreshes the connection between the phone and the camera, and should only be used when

the live view becomes frozen, disconnected or unstable.

TALK

Pressing and holding the microphone icon allows you to speak to the person on the other end

of the camera being viewed. This feature only works when the microphone icon is pressed and

held and is identiﬁable when the microphone icon is displayed on the live view screen (shown

below) and is deactivated as soon as the icon is released.

STREAM QUALITY

Lets you select the quality of the video stream being displayed on your mobile device. Options

include 1280x720 and 640x480..

SETTINGS

Tapping on the settings icon will allow you to change the camera time, date, passwords, and

much more. To conﬁgure these settings, tap on the settings icon located at the upper right

corner, enter the default admin password 123456 and tap ok to proceed.

SETTINGS MENU AND OPTIONS

The camera settings and conﬁguration menu options allow you to change device and admin

password, enable/disable motion detection recording, playback events and much more. Here

is a list of options available.

CAMERA NAME

Displays the camera’s name

DID

The Device ID (DID) section provides you with the cameras ID which is used to add the camera

to the app, unique to each device and is not conﬁgurable.

FIRMWARE VERSION

The Firmware Version section displays the cameras current ﬁrmware version and is not conﬁgu-

rable.

LIBRARY VERSION

The Library Version section displays the cameras current library version and is not conﬁgurable.

CHECK UPGRADE

The Check Upgrade performs a ﬁrmware check over the internet and installs it if and when one

is available.

CHANGE PASSWORD

The Change Camera Password option allows you to change the cameras default password

(Camera password: 123456) which is used to login and view the camera remotely. This is the

same password used when ﬁrst adding the camera to the app.

CHANGE ADMIN PASSWORD

The Change Admin Password option allows you to change the cameras default admin pass-

word (Admin password: 123456) which is used to access the camera settings and conﬁgura-

tion page.

MOTION DETECTION

The Motion Detection option is used to enable or disable motion detection recording. To enable

or disable this feature, simply tap on the option label and select the desired option from the list

provided. Options include off, low, medium and high.

PUSH NOTIFICATION

When enabled, the app will send “real time” alerts to your mobile device when ever motion is

detected by any of your cameras. To enable real time alerts make sure the option is enabled

(green) and tap on apply to save the changes.

EVENT LIST (VIDEO PLAYBACK)

NOTE: For best results, we recommend using a Micro SD card class 6 or higher (Support up to

32GB).

The Event List option is to view and playback recorded events that are stored on the Micro SD

card inserted into the back of the camera.

To playback video events simply tap on the event list option and then set the period (day, week,

month) and a date range. When set, tap on load.

The load option will bring up all the events stored for the set search criteria. Locate the event

you want to playback and tap on it to play it.

OVERWRITE

The overwrite option enables and disables the out overwrite feature. Enabling the loop record

feature allows the camera to loop back to begin deleting old ﬁles stored on your memeory card

to make room for new ﬁles.

STORAGE MANAGEMENT

The Storage Management option allows you to view the total/free space available, format

(erase) and safely eject the memory by using the un-mount option.

NOTE: Formatting the memory card will erase all of its contents.

VIDEO ROTATION

Video Rotation allows you to change the cameras ﬂip the live view so that you can mount the

camera upside down. Options include normal, horizontal, vertical and 180 degrees. To

change the image orientation, simply tap on the video rotation option and select from the

options provided.

SET DATE & TIME

The set date & time option allows you to set the cameras time zone and enable/disable day-

light savings.

WIFI

Used to change or connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network. To connect or change the net-

work, simply tap on the WIFI option, select the WIFI network you want to connect too.

PERSONAL CLOUD STORAGE

The personal cloud storage option allows you to conﬁgure the camera too store all motion

detection snapshot pictures to your personal Dropbox (recommended) or Baidu (commonly used

overseas countries) account. To enable and conﬁgure this feature, simply tap on the personal

cloud storage option and enable the Upload on/off option.

NOTE: Each motion detection will captured 5 JPG snapshot images to your personal cloud

storage. Personal cloud storage do not support video footage.

Then enter the password associated to the selected network and tap join to connect to the

network.

Create a directory (Camera, Security, etc) name for the recordings to be stored in and select the

account type (Dropbox or Baidu).

Now tap on account settings to login to the storage type account.

Enter the storage credentials, click on the sign in option when done and then tap on the apply

option to apply the settings.

NOTE: please check your Dropbox periodically to make sure the communication between the

camera and the Dropbox account is still linked.
