A Open the drain tray – at bottom front of appliance – by pressing
it at the top.
– The identification plate is located on the right-hand side next
to the foreign body trap.
The appliance should be installed by qualified personnel only. Each step must be carried out and checked in full in the order
specified.

Work steps 1–7 must be carried out in full in the order specified.

1. Remove the screws C of the 3 transportation locks D.
2. Push the transportation lock D up and out.
3. Plug the holes with the rubber stoppers E.
A Raise the appliance slightly at the front and pull it forward, away from the installation plate.
A Secure the installation plate to the location you wish to install the appliance using 4 screws. On smooth and clean floors, you can
affix the installation plate (double-sided adhesive tape supplied)
A Dampen the mounting slots on the installation plate with water.
Free-standing position
2. Remove the transportation locks
The transportation locks D have to be removed before using the appliance for the first time.
3. Positioning the installation plate
Use the installation plate to install the appliance. This plate fixes the appliance in position (for both free-standing appliances
and appliances placed in a niche).
If a tumble dryer and a washing machine are positioned side by side, keep a distance of min. 5 mm between installation plates
and min. 3 mm to walls.

Rear adjuster feet:
A Loosen counter nut K.

Water inlet
䡲 Only cold water G¾", possible pressure range 0.1–0.6 MPa (1–6 bar).
䡲 The appliance must not be connected to a mixer tap or a continuous flow boiler!
䡲 Pressure pulsations occurring in the house installation would be perceptible when carrying out the stability
check (see «7. Using for the first time / Stability check»). Proceed as follows to reduce the intensity of the
pressure pulsations:
For a working pressure of 0.3 MPa (3 bar) and over, we recommend the installation of a pressure pulsation
damper ¾" P32.064. For a lower pressure, check out the reduction by means of a pressure reducing valve
W3.1274.

4. Levelling
To ensure fault-free operation, the appliance must be perfectly vertical with all 4 feet standing firmly on the floor and must not
wobble. The counter nuts must be securely tightened so that the set height of the appliance is unaffected by any movement of
the appliance.
5. Plumbing in
Always observe the local water supply authority’s regulations.
Any old water supply and drain hoses must always be replaced with new hoses.

Water outlet
A When installing the drain hose, protect it against damage and bending (hot suds will flow through it).
A Assemble the hose clip for all connection variants.
A If draining into the bath tub, sink etc. use the bend (hose clip) to fix the end of the hose.
A The drain pump can pump to a max. height of 1.2 m.
A Information on the necessary mains voltage, type of current and fuse protection is to be obtained from the identification plate.
Connection cable
A Plug the appliance in at the mains or turn the wall switch on.
– The appliance switches on.
A If there are any items in the drum, remove them and then close the appliance door.
A Turn the water tap on.
A Depress the , and buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
– The spinning sequence is carried out.
– After about 2 minutes the following appears in the plain text display:
A Check the stability of the appliance.
– The appliance must stand perfectly vertically with all 4 feet firmly on the floor and must not wobble.
A Press the button to complete the initial set-up of the appliance.
– The spinning sequence is finished. The appliance is then drained.
A If necessary, repeat levelling as explained under point 4.
6. Electrical connections
Electrical connections must be carried out by trained electricians in accordance with the guidelines and standards for low
voltage installations and the specifications of the local electricity supply companies.
A plug-in appliance may only be connected to a socket outlet with earthing contact, installed according to specifications. An
all-pole mains isolating device with 3 mm contact opening should be provided in the house wiring system. Switches, plug and
socket devices, circuit breakers and fusible cut-outs which are accessible after installation and which have all-poles switching
are permissible as isolating devices. Effective earthing and separately installed neutral and earth conductors ensure safe and
fault-free operation. After installation, live parts and cables with basic insulation must not be accessible. Old installations should
always be checked.
The connection cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s customer services or a similarly qualified
person.
