SOLENOID VALVE REPLACEMENT
1. Forpowerunitsunplugelectricalcord.Forbypassunitsturno
powertofurnace.Alsoturnhumidistato.
2. Shutowatersupplyatthesaddlevalve.
3. Disconnect inlet and outlet water compression nuts. Double
wrench.Note,somewatermaydripontheoor.Removethe
orice(whichcontrolsthewaterow)fromtheplascorcopper
tubeandmakesurethereisnoobstrucon.Ifblockedclean
and replace.
4. Removewirenutsfromwatersolenoidvalvewireconnecons.
Set aside.
5. Removescrewsandsecurevalvetounit.
6. Aachnewvalvewithscrews.Donotover-torquescrewsinto
plaschousing.
7. Reconnectwireswithwirenuts.
8. Forunitswithplascfeedtubesinspectforbrileness,hairline
cracks,nicksorabrasion,etc.Replaceifnecessary.
9. Reconnectthewaterlines,doublewrenchingthecompressionnuts.
10. Turn water back on and check system for leaks. Tighten
compression nuts as necessary.
11.Restoreelectricalserviceandacvatefurnacebyturningup
thermostat. Note, the Model 350 and 360 are not furnace mounted.
12.Turnuphumidistattoverifyoperaonofhumidier.Recheck
forleaks.Turndownhumidistattomakesurevalveshutso.Reset
humidistatandthermostattooriginallevels.
