2.1 Description
Overview
During multiple channel projection, blending zon es or transition regions ar e created between two or m ore adjacent channels. In this
case, the OSEM frame can be use d to obtain a brightness uniform image over the whole projection screen. The OSEM frame is
placed at the front (considering light path from lens to screen) of the projector lens. The blend plate itself is mounted on a mechanical
frame allowing the positioning of the plate and thus the pos ition o f the blend zone with respect to the imag e.

Fixing the O S EM frame to the adjustable frame
Fixing the O SEM frame to the stackable frame
Overview
The O S EM frame is generally mounted on an adjustable frame to which the projector is xed. In case of a S IM 7, the adjustable
frame is part of t he stackable frame.
In the latest version of the s tackable frame for SIM 7 , an additional xation called the blend xation plate is present. This plate
provides additional support to the OS EM frame to avoid bending of the f rame. See the images below.

3.2 Fixing the blend plate to the blend frame
For all n ew orders, the b lend plate with blend holders is delivered as o ne assemb ly (blend frame).
Overview
The blend plate and the blend frame ar e packed separately during s hipment of the OSEM frame. Hence the blend plate+blend frame
needs to be xed to the OSEM frame.

4.1 Description
OSEM frame: Adjustments
The OSE M f rame is equipped with adjustment mechanics to correct the shift of the pr ojected image in the left-right (horizontal) and
top-bottom (vertical) d irections as well as tilt in the left-right angle (circular) against the screen.
While ad justing the blend plate, ne and coarse adjustments can be do ne on the frame.
The blend plate adjustments should be m ade after projecting an image with the projector and temporarily
adjusting the image size with the zoom and focus with the focus ring. Please refer to the SIM 7 U se r guide for
zoom and focus adjustment.
The following topics will de scribe the vertical, horizontal and circular adjustments in detail.
4.2 Vertical adjustment
Overview
While performing vertical adjustment, the blend frame can move up/do wn to align it to the projected image.
