The model and serial number of your Bugaboo Bee
are on the chassis. These will be needed for your

Bugaboo Bee until you have read
the userguide.
Additional warnings and safety
information appear in the assembly,
use and accessory sections of this
userguide as well as on the Bugaboo
Bee itself. These should be reviewed
independently. Failure to follow these
warnings and instructions could result
in serious injury or death.
Check that all components
(e.g. chassis, seat attachment devices)
are correctly engaged before you allow
your child near the Bugaboo Bee
(see this userguide). Failure to assemble
it properly could result in serious injury
or death to your child.
The wrist strap must be worn at all times.

The Bugaboo Bee is not intended for
children in excess of 17 kg / 37.5 lbs or
105 cm / 41.3 inches. Excessive weight
may cause a hazardous unstable
condition to exist. The product will
become unstable if the manufacturer’s
recommended load is exceeded.
Do not carry more than one child in the
Bugaboo Bee.
Always use the safety features of your
Bugaboo Bee, including locking devices,
brake, the harness (when child is in the
seat) and the wrist strap attached to the
handlebar (see this userguide for
additional information). Check and
maintain all safety features frequently.
Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding
out. Always use the harness (see this
userguide for additional information on
use of the harness system).
For any child unable to maintain an
unaided sitting position the backrest
should only be used in the most
reclined position.
When adjusting the Bugaboo Bee,
make sure your child is clear from
any moving objects, otherwise they
may be injured.
Never leave your child unattended.
Always keep your child in view while
in the Bugaboo Bee.

Only use authentic Bugaboo
replacement parts and Bugaboo
accessories or products approved
by Bugaboo North America for use
with the Bugaboo Bee. It is unsafe to
use products that are not approved
by Bugaboo.

Never attach purses, shopping bags,
diaper bags, other packages or similar
items to the handlebar as they
may change the balance of the
Bugaboo Bee and cause a
hazardous condition.
Take your child out of the Bugaboo Bee
when going up or down stairs, escalators
or around steep or unstable conditions.
Also, take extra care when going up or
down a curb or other uneven surfaces.
Do not allow the Bugaboo Bee to be
used as a toy.
Do not run, jog or skate with the
Bugaboo Bee.

Your Bugaboo Bee comes almost ready to go. All you need to do is
attach the swivel wheels. Its quick and simple.
Slot each swivel wheel onto the connection
rod at each end of each of the Bugaboo Bee’s
front legs. Push firmly until they click
into place.
If you need to remove the swivel wheels,
press the black button above each wheel
and pull it away from the Bugaboo Bee.

unfold - facing the world
Opening the Bugaboo Bee is easy.
Make sure that the handlebar clips are
closed. Then simply lift the handlebar to
the standing position and put your foot
on the brake pedal.
WARNING
In order to be sure that the folding
mechanism is in its proper position,
at least one of the following must
be confirmed:
1. audible ‘clicks’ heard on both sides
2. red indicators on the sides of the
handlebar not visible any more
3. green spots on top of the handlebar
completely visible.

Push firmly on the brake with your foot
while pulling the handlebar to fully open
the Bugaboo Bee.
If the chassis has securely clicked into place,
the red indicators on the handlebar's sides
will have disappeared and the green
indicators on the handlebar will be
completely visible.

When fully open, place the backrest in your
desired position.
Click the seat into place. If the seat is pushed
underneath the seat supports while
unfolding, you will need to pull it firmly
upwards so it rests on top of the supports.

Push firmly on the brake with your foot
while pulling the handlebar to fully open
the Bugaboo Bee.
If the chassis has securely clicked into place,
the red indicators on the handlebar's sides
will have disappeared and the green
indicators on the handlebar will be
completely visible.

Folding the Bugaboo Bee is easy; the internal spring relieves
any effort. The instructions below show you how to do fold the
Bugaboo Bee when the seat is facing the world.
WARNING
Care must be taken when folding and
unfolding the Bugaboo Bee to prevent
fingers from being trapped.

Apply the brake by pushing firmly
down on the pedal.
Adjust the backrest so that it is parallel
with the handlebar.

Press the secondary lock on the handlebar
down while lifting the folding locks upwards.
This will release the folding mechanism
and the Bugaboo Bee will do the hard
work for you.

These instructions show you how to do
fold the Bugaboo Bee when the seat is
facing towards you.

backrest adjustment lock
Apply the brake by pushing firmly
on the pedal.
Slide the secondary lock to the right while
you pull the backrest adjustment lock all the
way upwards. This will allow you to move
the backrest all the way forward so it is in
line with the handlebar.
Hold the secondary lock on the
handlebar down while lifting the folding
locks upwards. This will release the folding
mechanism and the Bugaboo Bee will do
the hard work for you (see page 16 and 17).
