Assembly Instructions
Improper installation of this accessory could result in an accident causing serious bodily injury or death.
To prevent an accident, be sure that this accessory is properly and securely installed on your vehicle. If
you cannot properly install this accessory yourself, have a professional installer, such as an authorized
Kawasaki dealer, install it for you.
Prior to each use, check to be sure the accessory is securely attached to the motorcycle and periodically
inspect the accessory for any required adjustment, wear, and damage.

Installation Instructions:
1. Park the vehicle on level ground, set the parking brake, turn off the ignition switch.
2. Refer to Owner's Manual to remove the seat.
3. Remove the ignition switch ring and tank cover (four screws) by pulling upward.
• Do not load bag with more than 2 kg (5 lbs).
• Do not exceed the maximum vehicle load. Review your vehicle owner’s manual for information regarding proper
loading.
• Before riding, make sure the bag is securely attached and the lid is zipped closed.
NOTICE
• Do not store temperature or moisture sensitive devices in the tank bag or lid tray.
• Tank bag is only water-resistant; take care to protect cargo in rainy weather with Rain Cover (A06).
• Do not exceed 130 km/h (80 MPH) vehicle speed with rain cover installed.
• Carefully clean the fuel tank mounting surfaces and the underside of the tank bag before each ride.
• Kawasaki cannot be responsible for any damage to the fuel tank finish or devices stored in the tank bag.
• Do not store magnetic data devices in bottom of tank bag or allow such devices to come in contact with
magnets.
• Not recommended for fitment with Reduced Reach Handlebars (99994-0517).
5. Install the front clip strap (A03) to the tank cover as
shown and re-install onto the fuel tank with original four
screws.
4. Peel the backing from the adhesive rubber gasket
(A02) and affix to the front of the ignition switch bracket
as shown.

9. Re-install the seat and tighten the screw snugly.
Please check / adjust all fasteners in regular intervals.
Check for proper attachment before each ride.
Care and Cleaning:
Clean the tank bag with mild soap and warm water. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners. Cover the clear tray
window when parked to minimize UV damage.
6. Thread the small end of the rear hook&loop strap
(A04) under the seat bracket and secure as shown.
NOTE: For fueling, unclip the front straps and lift the
tank bag clear of the fuel tank, then repeat Step 8 to
re-install the bag.
8. Position the tank bag (A01) over the fuel tank and
fasten the two front clips, then pull the bag rearward
and down to set. Front clip straps should be snug but
not tight.
7. Clean the fuel tank per Owner's Manual and apply
the clear protect film (A05) as desired after peeling the
backing off.
