DESCRIPTION
The Wattstopper LMRH-102 Digital IR Handheld Remote uses an infrared transmitter to send commands to a Digital Lighting
Management (DLM) IR-enabled device. It allows the user to turn lights ON/OFF, to mimic the functionality of other Lighting Management
wallbox switch and user interface buttons.
The LMRH-102 operates on three AAA batteries. It communicates wirelessly with other DLM devices by sending an IR signal to a DLM
IR-enabled device in its line of sight.
OPERATION
The LMRH-102 uses IR technology to control multiple zones of the DLM system. By pointing the handheld remote at any IR-enabled
DLM device a user can turn a load ON or OFF. Press the button on the handheld remote to turn a load ON. The LED on the button
should turn ON. Press again to turn OFF.
Default Functionality: Plug n’ Go™ (PnG)
The first (top) button controls Load 1. The second button (bottom) controls Load 2. If there is only one load on the DLM Local Network
the second button does not control anything. If there are more than two loads on the DLM Local Network that you want to control, or you
want to change the loads that are controlled by the LMRH-102, see the ADJUSTMENT section.

Battery Life
To conserve battery life, the LMRH-102 shuts down 5 seconds after the last key press, unless the DLM local network is in configuration
mode (Push n’ Learn, PnL).
Installation
The battery compartment holds three standard 1.5V AAA Alkaline batteries. Rechargeable NiMH batteries can be used. Do not mix
battery types. Do not mix old batteries with new batteries.

ADJUSTMENT
The LMRH-102 is pre-set for operation as described in the Default Functionality section. Adjustment is
optional.
A “configuration” button inside the battery compartment allows the user easy access to the Wattstopper
patented Push n’ Learn™ technology to simply modify the operation of the DLM local network.
Step 1: Enter Push n’ Learn (PnL)
1. Locate the configuration button inside the LMRH-102 battery compartment.
2. Press and hold the configuration button for 3 seconds while pointing at a DLM IR device.
The Red LED on the ALL other communicating devices connected to the DLM local network start
to blink rapidly (2x/second).
3. Release the button when the LED turns on.
The LED continues to blink until you exit Push n’ Learn mode.
All loads on the DLM local network will turn off immediately after entering Push n’ Learn.
After 1 second, load 1 as assigned by the Plug n’ Go feature will turn on.
Step 2: Load Selection
A quick press on the “configuration” button steps through all the loads connected to the DLM local network.
When a load turns on, all switch buttons and sensors that are bound to the load will have their blue LED
solid on.
1. To bind the load to one of the buttons on the LMRH-102, press the desired button making sure that
the LED turns on brightly.
2. To unbind a load, press the button.
The LED will go dim to indicate the button on the handheld remote no longer controls this specific load.
3. A quick press on the configuration button will activate the next load.
4. Repeat the process until all the loads are assigned to the buttons you desire.
NOTE: More than one load can be assigned to a button, and a load can be assigned to multiple buttons.
RESET PROCESS
Load binding reset - To clear the unit so that it is not bound to any load:
1. Make sure the DLM local network is in Normal operating mode.
2. Press and hold the configuration button in the battery compartment until LMRH device red LEDs go solid ON (approximately 10 seconds).
Device reset - To get the unit back to its default Plug n’ Go state:
1. Make sure the system is in Normal operating mode.
2. Press and hold the configuration button in the battery compartment for 20 seconds.
System Reset - To return all devices on the DLM local network to PnG:
1. Put the DLM local network into PnL.
2. Press and hold the configuration button for 20 seconds, until DLM device red LEDs resume blinking rapidly (approximately 2x/second).
TROUBLESHOOTING
LEDs on the remote

Remote LEDs turn ON
and OFF but lights
don’t change.
1. Make sure the DLM local network is not in PnL.
2. Be sure you’re pointing the remote at a DLM IR enabled device that is within range.
To test, see if you can put the network into PnL using the remote from your current position.
If successful, exit PnL and go on to step 3.
If not successful, move closer to the IR enabled local network device and more directly in front of it,
or try pointing toward a different IR-enabled device.
3. Make sure the buttons are bound to the loads you want to control.
4. Configure the buttons to control the desired loads using the Push n’ Learn adjustment procedure.
Button LED blinks;
