V-8HD Remote is a dedicated iPad app used exclusively for the Roland V-8HD.
You can connect the V-8HD to your iPad via USB and use the V-8HD Remote app to remotely control the
V-8HD.
Connectivity
The V-8HD Remote app and the V-8HD disconnect when you switch to a dierent app or when the iPad
enters sleep mode (auto-lock). The app and the unit automatically reconnect when you return to the
V-8HD Remote app, but it may take several seconds for the connection to be restored.
When you want to use V-8HD Remote for a long time, we recommend that you turn o the auto-lock
feature on the iPad.
Change this setting in Settings Ó Display & Brightness Ó Auto-Lock.
* This app is compatible with V-8HD system program version 2.0 and later. Make sure that the system program of the
V-8HD is updated to the latest version.

Connection
This shows you how to use a USB cable to directly connect your iPad to the V-8HD.

1. Connect the iPad to the REMOTE port on the V-8HD.

2. Power-on the V-8HD.
iPad
1. Turn on the iPad and launch V-8HD Remote.
When the status icon changes to “ONLINE, the device is
connected.
