Operating Notes
Power Supply: This mini eyeball / mini bullet camera can operate on DC 12V.
Operating Conditions
Avoid viewing very bright objects (example, light fixtures) for extended periods.
Avoid operating or storing the unit in the following locations:
Extremely humid, dusty, hot, cold environments (where the operating temperature is outside the
recommended range of -14°F to 122°F [-10°C to +50°C ].
Close to sources of powerful radio or TV transmitters
Close to fluorescent lamps or objects reflecting light
Under unstable light sources (may cause flickering)

1. Introduction
The mini eyeball and mini bullet cameras are ideal for indoor & outdoor installation. They provide flexible installation on
a ceiling or wall even at an angle.
1.1 Before You Begin
Please read this manual carefully before you install the dome camera. Keep this manual for future reference.
1.2 Unpack Everything
Check that the items received match those listed on the order form and packing slip. The camera packing box includes:
HED110 AHD 1080P Mini Eyeball:
One fully assembled camera
Four pan head screws
Four screw anchors
One torx wrench
HCR170 AHD 1080P Mini Bullet:
One fully assembled camera
Three pan head screws
Three screw anchors
One torx wrench
One buffer foam of bracket
If any parts are missing or damaged, contact the dealer you purchased the camera from.

1.5 Routine Maintenance
Please use a soft and dry cloth to remove any fingerprint or dust to clean the housing. For more stubborn stains, use a
cloth dampened with a small quantity of neutral detergent to wipe dry.
Caution: Do not use volatile solvents such as alcohol, benzene or thinners to avoid damaging the surface finish.

2. Installation
2.1 For AHD 1080P Mini Eyeball Camera
1. Loosen the screw with torx wrench (supplied) to remove the camera body from the bottom case.

2. Mark 4 holes at the suitable position and fasten the bottom case on the ceiling with the screws provided.

3. Connect the camera power/video cable and external power/video cable together.
4. Put the camera body into the bottom case and adjust the camera to get a suitable position and angle. Then fasten
the camera by screwing camera body to the bottom case with screws.

2.2 For AHD 1080P Mini Bullet Camera
1. Mark 3 holes at the suitable position and Insert the supplied anchors into the holes.

2. Connect the camera power/video cable and external power/video cable together.

3. Adjust the camera to get a suitable position/angle, then tighten the screws with the screws provided and finish the
installation.

3. OSD Settings
The AHD 1080P Mini Eyeball and Mini Bullet cameras provide COC function and users are able to control camera
menu directly from AHD DVR by clicking buttons.
3.1 Lens
The LENS settings allow you to configure Lens and speed. Options are Manual and DC. The default setting is Manual.
In the DC submenu, you can set the MODE as INDOOR or OUTDOOR, and adjust IRIS SPEED from 0 to 15.
If speed value is less, the IRIS will be become slower. If speed value is higher, the IRIS will be become more faster. If
OUTDOOR mode is selected, the Min shutter is 1/30 and you can adjust the Max shutter from 1/60 to 1/50000.
3.2 Exposure
SHUTTER: 1/30(1/25), 1/60(1/50), FLK, 1/240(1/200), 1/480(1/400), 1/1k, 1/2k, 1/5k, 1/10k, 1/50k, x2, x4, x6, x8, x10,
x15, x20, x25 and x30, Auto are selectable.
AGC: You can set the AGC value from 0 to 15.
SENS-UP: You can set the SENS-UP as OFF or AUTO. In the AUTO submenu, you can set SENS-UP as
x2/x4/x6/x8/x10/x15/x20/x25/x30.
BRIGHTNESS: You can set the brightness value from 1 to 100.

D-WDR: You can set the D-WDR as OFF, ON or AUTO. If ON is selected, you can adjust the level from 0~8.
DEFOG: You can set the DEFOG as OFF or AUTO. In the AUTO submenu, position, size, and the defog gradation (0
to 2) are configurable.
3.3 Backlight
Set Backlight compensation function. It controls the light level to overcome sever backlight conditions. Available
options include OFF, BLC or HSBLC mode. The default is OFF.
BLC (Backlight Compensation):
LEVEL: Set the gain of BLC as High, Middle, or Low.
AREA: Press the up/down/left/right button to define the BLC position and size. Select RET or AGAIN to go
back the BLC menu or re-define the BLC area.
Default: Restore the BLC settings to the default.
HSBLC: Select an HSBLC area. Set the DISPLAY status as ON and press the up/down/left/right button to define
the area position and size. Set the BLACK MASK status as ON or OFF. Set the HSBLC LEVEL from 0 to 100.
Select ALL DAY or Night for the HSBLC mode.
3.4 White BAL
WHITE BALANCE controls color on the screen. Options include ATW (Auto White Balance), AWC→SET, INDOOR,
OUTDOOR, MANUAL or AWB mode. If MANUAL is selected, you can adjust BLUE and RED value from 0 to 100.
3.5 Day & Night
DAY/NIGHT function allows you to set how the camera switches between color and black and white (B/W) mode.
Options include EXT, AUTO, COLOR and B/W.
EXT: In the EXT submenu, you can set D→N / N→D DELAY within the range 0 to 60.
AUTO: In the AUTO submenu, you can set:
DN (AGC): Set the light level at which the camera switches to NIGHT mode. The higher the value, the
darker the lighting must be there before the camera switches. The value of D→N (AGC) is from 0 to 255.
DN/ ND (DELAY): The Delay has a range from 0 to 60
ND (AGC): Set the light level at which the camera switches to DAY mode. The lower the value, the brighter
the lighting must be there before the camera switches. The value of N→G (AGC) is from 0 to 255.
COLOR: Force the camera to stay in DAY (COLOR) mode at all times.
B/W: Force the camera to stay in B/W (NIGHT) mode at all times. The B/W submenu allows you to set BURST
and IR SMART to be ON or OFF. If IR SMART is set as ON, you can adjust the level from 0 to 15 and press the
up/down/left/right button to define the position and size of the area.

3.6 NR
NR allows you to configure the DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) settings to reduce noise on the screen. You can set 2D
NR/ 3D NR status as OFF, HIGH, MIDDLE or LOW depending on your environment condition.
3.7 Special
CAM Title: It allows you to specify camera ID. Options are OFF and ON. In the ON submenu, you can add a camera
title up to 26 characters with 2 lines and also select where the title appears on the monitor screen.
D-effect:
FREEZE: Set the freeze function as ON or OFF.
MIRROR: OFF, MIRROR, V-FLIP, and ROTATE are selectable for mirror to reflect the image.
NEG.IMAGE: Set the NEG. IMAGE as ON or OFF.
Motion: MOTION allows camera to detect moving objects on the screen. You can set up to 4 motion areas to detect
moving objectives. Set the DISPLAY status as ON or OFF. In the ON submenu, you can press the up/down/left/right
button to define the position and size of the area. Adjust the motion detection SENSITIVITY from 0 to 100. Set the
COLOR as GREEN, BLUE, WHITE or RED for the motion areas, and the transparent can be select as 1.00, 0.75, 0.25,
or 0.00. In the ALARM submenu, you can do detail settings, such as VIDEO TYPE, OSD VIEW, ALARM OUT. and
TIME.
Privacy: PRIVACY function mask up to 8 privacy areas on the screen from video monitoring. Select a PRIVACY area.
Set the DISPLAY status as INV, MOSAIC, COLOR, or OFF, and press the up/down/left/right button to define the
position and size of the area. Set color and transparency for the privacy areas.

Language: OSD support multiple languages. Options include ENG, CHN1, CHN2, GER, FRA, ITA, SPA, POL, RUS,
POR, NED and TUR.
Defect: LIVE, WHITE and BLACK DPC are adjustable in this section.
RS485: Set CAM ID from 0 to 255, Set the ID DISPLAY as ON or OFF. Set BAUDRATE as
2400/4800/9600/19200/38400.
3.8 Adjust
Picture Adjust allows you to adjust picture settings for optimal image, you can adjust picture Sharpness, Monitor, LSC
and Video.out.
Sharpness: Options are OFF and Auto. In the Auto submenu, you can adjust the sharpness LEVEL from 0 to 15,
START AGC and END AGC from 0 to 255.
Monitor: CRT and LCD are selectable. Select a monitor and enter the submenu to do detail settings, such as GAMMA,
BLUE/RED GAIN.
LSC: Set the LSC status as ON or OFF.
Video. out: PAL or NTSC is selectable.
3.9 EXIT
Press the joystick control to select SAVE&END, RESE or NOT SAVE to exit the menu.
SAVE&END: Save all settings and exit the OSD menu.
RESET: Reset all the settings to the default.
NOT SAVE: Do not save all settings.
